I weep for any coach that is struggling for 20 games. That's not a factor of the team, that's a factor of the coach. Hell, Gobbos and Lings start to show dangerous game plans way before that, and I don't think anyone is gonna suggest that Pact is anywhere near as difficult as those teams.

Take pact at face value for it's early games. You have affordable, fairly resistant linemen, built in scorers/runners (Delf, Skaven) and multiple big guys (I'm of that tragic school of attempting all 3 at the start... if you're playing Pact, have fun with it!).

An early CAS or two is going to result in a coasting win early against non-passing teams, and even then, making them gamble to catch up is about all anyone can hope for.

Press your advantage, make them deal with your big guys, and use your positioning with the rest of the team to apply pressure. Standard BB. After you get a few skill ups, your team will start to take shape, and you'll definitely know where you're going from there.

20 games? That's ludicrous.

That's a strange post.

Re the goblins and the halflings they're always going to struggle, you can't really say it's due to coaching; and if Chaos Pact have a 44% win rate (Plasmoid's stats) and are only better than goblins, halflings, ogres and vampires it's for a reason. They start without any skills but thanks to their access to strength and mutation skills over the long term they can become quite good, not unlike Chaos teams. And the first few games are tough because you have no skills. I'm talking about 20 games because basically you spend the first ten giving boring skills (block, block, guard, block...), and it's only after a while that you can start giving interesting skills such as horns etc and then your team really starts to become effective.

There is a LOT of give in plas's numbers.

NP. Play a Chaos Pact team, then return with your comments.

I'll still stand by my statement. If you feel like you're struggling 18 games in... it's not the Pact.
