Guard if you vanilla ice cream.

Dodge if you like Chocolate.

Sneaky Git for double 1's and MV for double 5's if you like Caramel-mint-strawberry-gummy bear.

I like the idea of taking two of the same, strong skills (like Guard or Dodge) and it will steer your team the way you want it to play. Guard for a stronger Human team, Dodge for a fancier one.

The one thing that keeps Humans from being the best of all teams for a Cult of Position philosophy is the lack of any ability to load up on ST3/Sidestep. A pair of doubles on linemen would be awesome.

Guard if you like to win. Sidestep if you like to worry about positioning and using it to your advantage. Sneaky Git if you don't know what you're doing and want to screw around.

After that post... I'm sold on 1 guard and 'Das Boot' just for comedy value alone is awesome enought to say yes to.

That makes sense. Guard is definitely the most sensible option. Sneaky Git wouldn't be on my radar, but if you've got a hankering for it....

Guard both. I don't even need to consider the team to know that is a great choice

This I would like to say I think a bad point. 5 players can get standfirm and 2 can have ss.

7 potential positing skills is plenty. In fact this is to many in my book. I just read another post and decided that I would like to say this is a poor choice compared to 2 guards.

SS Catchers don't do the same thing. They're ST2 and AV7, and can't hold down the edges of formations. Stand Firm Blitzers don't do the same thing, either: even just one SS'er can make a defense much stronger (yes, you need Block to pull it off best). I'd think Guard is a generally better choice, but if you're contemplating Sneaky Git or other boutique skills, I'd think the Cadillac positioning skill is certainly stronger.
