Fleshgolem (7spp) Rolled 2+2, Block or DODGE?
Both Block and Dodge is great, but Diving Tackle makes him a great marking player

Wight (6spp) Normal skill, Guard or Stand Firm?
Neither for me! Guard and Stand Firm ties him up and you loss a potential MA6, AG3 player that can be stuck in his spp hunt. Try Mighty Blow as first skill to rack up some spp on AV7 players (norse and khemri)

Guard has lots of on-the-move uses, making him really good when paired up with a Were. Guard and Stand Firm are both good skills for cagers and for ballcarriers, too. I think the ideal Necro team has a mobile Guard player and a slow one, because two are a big plus on offense and because there are two exclusive defensive purposes. It's not like Orcs, where you can just block your way into tons of 2d smax; Necromantics sometimes have to get creative before they can go hacking away.

Mighty Blow is a great spam skill, but it's hard for this team to become a true "killer" team. That is a lot of AV7, so it's a reasonable pick.

Counterpoint: the strength of the flesh golem is putting him in a spot to lock it down. Often that spot will change, bu the ability of the Flesh Golem to react to that change is really limited. Break tackle makes him much more flexible in that regard.

And when I say much later, I mean as a 4th or 5th skill, if he ever gets there.

Once had dodge on a Golem... keeps him up longer... but not a big advantage in my experience....

Block/MiB on the Golem.... He, indeed, needs to stay in place and punch his way out.... Typically I run them downfield (on offense) against the deepest (yeah, we're talking 4 squares of movement) target and then use the Stand Firm to maintain a screen along one/other sideline.... A two skilled Golem seems to take forever... so MiB might be worth the time... and block later.... Doubles... scrap 'em.... *sigh*

Having a pair of Guard Wights is very useful... but they might (personally) skill faster with Mighty Blow....

Killing things is always good for the Necros....

I agree with Digger.
FG are slow to skill up, so slow that they cannot really afford an early double. I prefer Block for immediate benefit or MB for development (maybe even Guard, if the league is extremely short :-? ).
The Wights too are relatively slow skillers: MB can help, especially if the other teams are rookies like yours. If you are already bent on Guard or SF, Mr_Lemon, I suggest at least 1 Guard on the team before spamming positioning skills.

in your particular league Dodge may be a solid choice. 2 Khemri, Orcs, Chaos Pact and couple more teams that rely on Big Guys for strength *and* only one dwarf team, sign me up for Dodge, you'll get a lot of mileage out of it, I would think.

But this is only because of your league spread.

Normally I'd go with Digger and scrap the doubles... Block 'em.
