I agree with Thadrin. I started a league with an Orc team half a year before with a nerly similar line-up. Only difference was that I took a Goblin and a Troll rookie instead of one of the Black Orcs and one of the Blitzers.
It did very well and I finished the season at 1st place with four wins and a loss.

Only danger is the low FF because of low income...

I'd start as Zombie, but I only ever take one thrower. They are Orcs! My team uses Savage Orcs from Comp. 1 as well. Never ever used Goblins, no self respecting hard nut should. The Savage Orcs are, ofcourse, House Rules. I also like the exp. rules secret weapons and think, if allowed by your League that Orc linemen should get a chainsaw, though not on the starting line up.

He is top of the league and has a FF of 11 now!
I would use this roster, except that I'd trade a rr for 4 ff (for 7 total) and then upgrade one line orc to a thrower with the leftover 20k. So it would look like this:

4Bob
4Blitzer
2Line orc
1Thrower
2rr
7ff

Much more balanced team...you need the thrower for the sure hands, even if you don't pass. And you need the FF for $$ and to not lose all those kickoff events. (altho 7 is still a little low for my tastes in a league setting, it's the absolute minimum I'd start with)

Like it but I would say RR's are more crucial as they double in value afterwards.

Blitzers advance fast and in the beginning of the league you wont miss the skills that much, I suggest to demote some of the Blitzers to Linemen to get RR3 AND FF 9 (or at least 8).
