Lion Warrior problem

Post by Talafar »

Just had a great game of bloodbowl (won 3-0) and one of my LW's got a trait! NOS is the obvious choice, but unfortunately, the Lion Warrior in question already has shadowing... (and dodge). I was planning to give him sidestep, but now I don't know what to do. I'm tempted by jump up, but with AV7 once he goes down, he probably wont be jumping up.
So what do I do?

take the nos, if you shadow catchers you will get a chance to intercept if its thrown to him and ignore his tz while still giving them a -1 cause they are in yours

Unless I'm mistaken you cannot intercept the ball, if you are in the catcher's tackle zone. Not even with NOS.
But maybe I'm wrong, esp. as those guys who usually know the rules and comment on mistakes remained silent here ... [looks left and right, not sure if I missed something]

You are mistaken, a player can intercept the ball anytime he is inside the range ruler; he can be in the catcher's tackle zone, or the thrower's for that matter.

LRB 2.0 errata

"To be able to make an interception, the player must be between the player who threw the ball and the player who is meant to receive it, and the plastic ruler must pass over at least part of the square the intercepting player is standing in."

IIRC there is a BBRC clarification that level counts.
