picking up the ball is not an action, but if you've declared a blitz you couldn't then pass or hand off.

I'm also for strip ball or tackle.

Tackle may be more useful than strip ball, as you will have more occasions to use it.

But I believe that giving that blitzer sure hands is an absolute waste - he will have too few occasions to use it (i.e. not only do you actually have to succeed at knocking the ball loose, but also does the blitzer have to be close to the ball). On top of that, ag4 on its own already makes ball-handling easier.

Thanks, you are right, I forgot about picking up not being an action...

I would go for strip ball. Tackle you would use more often, but strip ball you can use when you really need to remove the thread of a ball-carrier.
