Hmm, not a very auspicious start to my TBB career but you have to start posting somewhere. So here goes...
What do people think about using the bomber on prone players instead of fouling them. No chance to catch the bomb, no chance of getting sent off. Very useful if half of a team has swooped in to protect a fallen fave. player as you might catch one/two of them as well. And you still have your foul on a player who is easier to gang up on.
Or have I just mentioned something illegal on my first post. The shame...

Throwing bombs at prone/stunned players is very good strategy.PubBowler wrote:Hmm, not a very auspicious start to my TBB career but you have to start posting somewhere. So here goes...

Played a Goblin team with my Ogre team that did just that ... a Troll with several Goblin assists knocks down my Ogre and don't follow up ... bomb throwing goblin lobs a bomb at him to quite often that game remove him from the pitch. I believe it was Mad Jackal's goblins that did this to me ... very effective.

Theatre people who are superstitious believe that it's bad luck to refer to the play MacBeth by name during a production. Instead they call it the The Scottish Play to ward off any potential curses.Snew wrote:Snew doesn't even know what he said. What's a "Scottish Play".voyagers_uk wrote:whilst in theory it all sounds fun, I am still in shock after Snew mentioned the BB equivalent of "The Scottish Play"
I think Voyagers_uk was referring to the mention of 4th ed snotlings.

Snew is the only one of us that keeps forgetting that officially "4th edition" never actually happened and it was a mass induced fever dream and has been officially denied as being a reality by those in the ivory tower.Warpstone wrote:Theatre people who are superstitious believe that it's bad luck to refer to the play MacBeth by name during a production. And since Zombie quit B.B. forever when the Death Bowl went to LRB 5.0 ... I don't have to worry about getting "I wish you would stop spreading lies about 4th edition since it was really wonderful PMs/emails that I always got" when I made comments like this.

Nay me Lord, 'twas not Me gobbos. I don't play gobbos. It could've been me dwarven team or my short lived orc team with a bomber induced, but I don't think so... Wish as I do I could take credit for impressing you as such, I nay lay claim to the credit due- especially if it were surely gobbos who commited the deed.GalakStarscraper wrote:Throwing bombs at prone/stunned players is very good strategy.PubBowler wrote:Hmm, not a very auspicious start to my TBB career but you have to start posting somewhere. Tom is not even close to funny. 4th ed is/was Blood Bowl in it's purest form. The levels of strategy and in-game management were perfection. It was only killed by powergaming madmen bent on destroying fun and, probably, hurting puppies and pushing old ladies in the mud.
Now I'm sad again. Thank you all for ruining my day.
Thank you Warpstone for the explaination.

It was my Gobbos I think. The combination of the bomber targeting prone Ogres and the Pogoer fouling them kept the Ogres well in check. It was actually the damned diving tackle snotlings that were my undoing...Mad Jackal wrote: Nay me Lord, 'twas not Me gobbos. I don't play gobbos. Fen ... You just need to get Blood Bowl Magazine #1 and #2 and you'll have the rules.fen wrote:*hovers over the pm button*
I never got to see the Gold edition, is there a complete version of it out there so I can read it for readings sake?
I don't have them in document or PDF form or I'd send them to you.
