yes snots have side step from day 1, the prob is the lack of money, im saving up for my 6th ogre, and i use all my rerolls (2) on attacker down rolls or bonehead...

what skills whould you suggest for my ogre level ups? having 2 with 5 SSP is quite likely a level up in next game...

Because all Snotlings start with the skill Side Step.

The more I coach Ogres ... the more I think that Break Tackle is a highly needed skill and one of my first choices for Ogres now.

I like to have 1 Ogre with Guard to put in the middle of the LOS as well.

I've had difficulty making my Multiple Block player work well.

After testing this I'd say you need two players for this to work well.

One Guard, Grab Ogre to feed the Mutliple Block Ogre

And you really should wait to get Block on one Ogre and then give him Multiple Block to fill out the duo.

hmm yes okay...

i havnt thought of grab yet...

i chould be great actually

what does ur ogres look like skillvise?

so i should try and aim for:
Multiple block duo:
ogre1: block, multiple block
ogre2: guard, grab

"the mass":
ogre3: block, break tackle
ogre4: break tackle
ogre5: break tackle

TTM dude, thrower:
ogre6: break tackle, strong arm

(with as many "block" as possible, then "pro" if more double) and guard on the break tacklers,

what about juggernaught and more grab?

I'm not a big fan of Guard on Ogres ...

On you blitzers with Break Tackle ... I'd look more at Juggernaut for a normal skill as a 2nd skill.

Having one throwing Ogre is nice ... but I'd actually recommend picking up Strong Arm on one of the Break Tackle Ogres as a 2nd or 3rd skill ... rather than dedicate a player to this. Frequently you'll want the ability for the Ogre to run over and throw the Snotling ... Break Tackle helps you get there ... Strong Arm makes the play work then.

Took 2nd at the last tournament I went to using an Ogre team so hopefully some of this advice is useful.

something like:

MB duo(2 ogres):
guard, grab
block, multiple block

blitzers(2 ogres):
break tackle, juggernaught

thrower(1 ogre):
break tackle strong arm

left-over(1 ogre):
break tackle, grab/guard/juggernaught (what ever needed?)

you dont use stand firm?

I find that having more than 1 ogre with Multiple block is useless... They still need at least one assist on both str3 guys to have two dices (which I recommand if you don't have block on them).

Definetely one ogre with Break Tackle + Juggernaut.
I like having guard on one or two ogres (give one on first skill, than I give another guard on the second skill of someone else).

Grab+Guard is good...
Strong arm is usefull for that one crazy play.

Standfirm I find is a good 2nd or third skill (depending on the first one)

okay yes...becomming:

0 - 1 * Multiple Block duo (made of 2 ogres):
guard, grab, stand firm
block, multiple block, stand firm

3 - 6 blitzers:
break tackle, juggernaught, 3th skill?

0 - 1 thrower:
break tackle, strong arm, 3th skill?

Depending on how you like to play.

Many folks would recommend that if one of your Break Tackle Ogres gets a double to spend it on Sure Hands (to make a ball carrier).

Me ... personally ... I'd rather use Catch for my doubles since an Ogre can take a Hand-off from a Snotling without making a Bone-head roll.

Making one Break Tackle, Catch player can really give your teams some options ... (just my opinion).

Although he still has to make a bone head roll to move after taking the handoff. Although then of course he'll have the ball in possession, meaning the opposing team can't just go grab it off the ground. But on the other hand the catch ogre is vulnerable to strip ball...

What is easier:

3+ Pickup with Snot and 4+ Handoff to Ogre with catch
2+ Bonehead Ogre and 4+ Puckup with Surehands

I would prefer the later one. Especially to be safe from strip ball.
