and with ag 2 its what 5+ to throw him...
As zephard says, you could fail the bonehead roll, but you haven't picked-up the snot yet at that point so you won't drop him.

I just read the TTM skill description again. The ag roll -1 is for the throw, not the pick-up. You don't roll for the pick-up.

A TTM throw is always inaccurate, so all you have to make sure of is to not fumble the little guy.

If you throw a short pass you need to consider the -1 for TTM and 0 modifier for the short pass. So on a 3+ you get an innaccurate pass, which is the best you can get.

Add Strong Arm as a skill, then on a 2+ you get the inaccurate snot throw, which again is the best you can get as a thrown player is never accurate.

Unless I got this completely wrong (and someone please correct me if I am), no roll is required for the snot pick-up, and the throw is inaccurate (i.e. successfull) on a 2+ or 3+ depending on the range that you are throwing and on the skills that you have.

In your case, if you don't have Strong Arm or Accurate, you fumble on a 1 or 2, and succeed the inaccurate pass on a 3+.

You are correct. On a related note +AG makes no difference for TTM. There is also no reason to get both strong arm and accurrate. The only other skills that may apply are nerves of steel (so you can chuck the little buggers while in a crowd) and pass (reroll a fumble). But since these skills all require doubles and strong arm (which gives the most benifit) is a normal roll, I would not recommend any of them (Block is always a better doubles option)

but strong arm only gives +1 to throws longer than "quick pass"...not on the quick pass itself

so with strong arm, you throw the dude on a 3+ no matter if its a quick pass or short pass...i guess

A quick pass is at +1 by itself and so cancells the -1 for TTM.

quick pass +1
TTM -1
so total modifier 0 or fumble on a 1.

short pass 0
TTM -1
so total modifier -1 or fumble on a 1 or 2.

strong arm adds +1 at short so the total modifier 0. or fumble on a 1.

summing up...
fumble without strong arm
quick- 1
short - 1 or 2

fumble with strong arm
quick - 1
short - 1

...bashed skaven 3-0 and took out amazon 2-0, and lost 2-1 to norse...

Ogre block
Ogre Guard. grab
Ogre grab
Ogre break tackle
the rest of them all needs 1-2 ssp for the first level up...

my plans look like this:

Meaty Ogres:
for defence:
----------B-----GG---MBB---GG-----B------

----snot--------------JUGG------------snot--

B = Break tackler
GG = Guard and Grab
MBB = Multipleblock and Block
JUGG = "Juggernaughter"
snot = snotling

what should i go for with the "break tackler"s, they tend to bash on theyr own, and get swarmed...?
3rd skill for guard grabbers and the multiple block dude?
the juggernaughter is the dude that goes after the ball carrier, getting strip ball on double, i think...

the dude that got a niggeling hasnt gone level up yet, whould he be good as the juggernaught? or should he be a break tackler/thrower? the breakers do tend to get swared alot...

After playing Ogres some more ... I'm pretty settled on this now I think for my 6 Ogres:

2 Blitzers: Break Tackle, Juggernaut ... Doubles=Dodge, Catch
2 LOS Endmen: Stand Firm, Guard ... Doubles= Block, Frenzy
2 LOS Blockers: Multiple Block, Grab ... Doubles=Block, Tackle

Snotlings all develop like this for me: Diving Tackle, Sure Feet ... Doubles=1 Kick, 1 Leader, any others: Sure Hands

After serious thought ... I've decided not to try to develop an Ogre thrower and just risk the fumble on the 1 or 2.

you dont have trouble with the multiple block, when you take stand firm before guard? to keep getting the 2 dices blocks, i think 2 guarders whould be need

you dont like grab?

and how do you place the 4 people in the LOS?

Guard then Stand Firm is good as well for the LOS endmen

My set up on the LOS is

E.M.M.E

E is the Guard/Stand Firm Ogres
M is the Multiple Blockers with Grab

I like Grab ... but my goal is a solid LOS thus the SF on the end men. Guard then helps the Multiple Blocks in the middle get the two hits with 2 dice.

nice...and you dont incounter problems with the 2 multiple blockser? opponent having guard and block, end up with 1 dice blocks against "block" dude? nothing?

.G-BG-G.
.MB.MB.
. = space

big guy, sorroundet by guard block dudes...with no space between them...hmm i think i just saw it, you multiple block the guarder first, and then the big guy, 2 dice block all the way...great

i sometimes place 5 ogres side by side in the center of the LOS, and then mega bash my way through, playing the offence,
by date, no one have overcome that...it all ways end up in alot of linemen and a big guy stunned or K.O.´ed...its awesom-ish evil
