Is it really? The benefit gets less with each upgrade. It doesn't give any additional protect against Claw and you're passing up some pretty good stuff to get it.
I just don't think +1AV is worth 30k on an Orc Blitzer. You have four of them, they're pretty robust already and I don't think you need to be so precious about them.
