@ Falconeyed-
Baah, what do you know about Strength 4 Pro Elf catchers? Your speciality is Strength4 Pro Elf Blitzers... And I would consider Mighty Blow on a Doubles Roll as well, but Juggernaught is probably the best choice.

@ Matt-

I would go with Dodge on a normal roll, and is the +1 AV a real number, or do Pro Elf catchers start with that and my memory is off?

My experiences with Leap lead me to believe that it is a skill best used as a threat, but an implied threat, not an often used one. It is an especially poor choice on an AG 4 player who is well developed, especially without dodge, as he will end up in a bad position if he fails his leap roll, and will more often than not need to make a dodge after leaping.

The worst thing you could do with Mr. 4 Strength is leave him on the ground to get gang fouled, and AG4 leap with no Dodge is a great way to make that happen!

Conversely, almost the same threat can be had if one of your linemen, or other catchers, or blitzers picks up leap on a first or second advance! Same threat, and if you need to utilize the piece to leap, he is more expendable if he fails.

As you said, Strip Ball is worthless in a Sure Hands heavy league- but only you know how often the players in your league end up with the ball in the hands of the non-optimal ball carrier.

Or give him dodge sidestep and give your opponent absolute fits.

Oops. 8/4/4/7.

So Jural agrees with Tuern that Leap is a bad idea. A question for both of you then (or anyone else): Frenzy or Tackle? I think it's down to those two in my head, with Dodge a no-brainer at 51.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I think your squad needs 2-3 tackle players to be competitive, but I wouldn't necessarily make this your tackle player.

Likewise, I'd try to get 1 or 2 Frenzy players to keep opponents honest on the sidelines.

I guess a Pro Elf catcher with 4 strength and block is probably best with Frenzy. He can cover the entire pitch on a set-up, and has enough movement to get off the sideline when he does knock someone out of bounds.

Again i recommend dodge, ST4 Blodger is always a pain in the ass.

Leave frenzy for your Blitzer, with sidestep they can easily push an opponent out and rest at the sideline.

If you hold with frenzy or tackle, then i recommend frenzy because it also works against players without dodge. And with one assist you have 6 (3*2) blocking-dice against the gutterrunner.

Frenzy for the same reasons as Banelord gives. In tourneys I always take frenzy over tackle since it works against every team, gives you more options and is only marginally worse at getting blodgers down. Every team needs at least one frenzy player and I can imagine a lightning fast and agile STR 4 frenzier causing a lot of headaches for your opponent!
