I'd bank on Wrestle, that way Dwarfs and bashy Humans have no advantage over you with their basic Block and Dodge means little to the Tackle Humans should have in their side.

Why wrestle? Surely the assasin is used to stab/mark people with his skill combo of stab and shadowing. Dodge or side step are my preferences with leap as a possibility.

Dodge keeps him alive and gives him the chance to be more mobile on the blitz

Side step lets him stick to whover he is supposed to be marking giving him the chance to stab/shadow someone.

Leap as a last resort cage break stab chance. This is the least appealing IMO.

Glad I put this question out there now, two of the skills I'd sort of written off are popular choices.

I'm not that worried about the amount of tackle I'll be facing generally, there is one dwarf team but considering how short the league is most players only get a single skill (if any) and block or something like might blow are the most common choices. I don't remember the last time I saw one of the coaches take tackle as a skill. So in most games dodge would be protection and mobility improving.

I can see the benefit in Jump-up, the extra mobility (or the threat of a stab straight away) would be great though I'd rather not get knocked down in the first place with AV7.

Side-step looks like an excellent choice, but after dodge. There's just too many cases where he'll just get to choose where he falls (not a bad thing but not for his only skill upgrade).

Wrestle was a consideration to counter the large amount of block I see, creating a hole that the offense needs to cover (though they'll probably just not choose that roll). We don't have that many agility teams (and those that we have will leave his shadowing far behind, MA9 receivers). My thoughts were to stand him just behind the line in front of the cage and force my opponent (with block) to have to deal with potential gaps.
