No. Guard is great with vamps. Maybe Vamps 5 and 6 should be more like this:
Dodge, Guard, Jump up, Block, Fend or
Dodge, Guard, Block, Jump up, Fend
They would primarily be used to move and gaze. Opening up disgusting holes in the opposing line at will. Combined with some wrestling thralls. (shudder)
Overkill on Sure Hands? The thrower, and two catcher types have it late in their development. How's that overkill?
If your thralls are striping the ball and there's lots of tackle zones around, you'll need the extra rerolls.
