Since the first score in OT wins the game, it mostly comes down to who wins the flip to receive the ball during OT. Who wants to turn a tense, close 3 hour struggle into a coin toss? It feels cheap if you win possession and unfair if you don't.

I disagree, the lack of rerolls adds to the dynamic.

I always play overtime if I can help it. Ties are losses, in my mind.
