Back to the subject of the thread ..
The best form of defence is offence. Take the game to the opposition. Control the game regardless of who kicks off. Break their line, and harass/block the ball carrier. If they form a cage, punch the corner with a stormvermin. Force them into errors, slow them up, but other than their ball carrier, avoid ending up in their tackle zones.

Dude, just try different things for yourself... It's your team to win or lose with. It is all on how you decide to play them. That's the best advice. What works for one, may not work for you. You may go in with a game plan then the other person will do something totally unexpect something that you thought he/she was going to do, but didn't.... like move. I have thrown many people off by just standing up my knocked down players and doing nothing else. So go with the flow of the game and see where it takes you.
