my 2pc if like a dynamic game go for block then guard on black orcs. Give the blitzers tacke, stripball and Mb if diffrent combinations. I like the BO's to fight and support due to being hard to remove. Leaves blitzers to bitz specialists (ie tackle) kill if nothing better to do (MB) save a touchdown as a deep saftey (stripball). Just my idea more based on how I play rather than most people.
Guard on blitzers always usefull but where are you planning to finish the blitzers move too? Very much depends on playin style.

I would say it depends on how your BOBs are developing.
On my Orc team my BOBs took an age to get any skills at all so one of my Blitzers has Guard to help the team compete.
If you can get BOBs to Block/Guard at a reasonable rate then maybe you don't need Guard on the Blitzers early on but otherwise it's probably essential if there's other bashy teams in the league (or players with leap).
Tackle and Mighty Blow are also essential skills on an Orc Blitzer though and balance is the key to these choices. Nazgit hit the nail on the head with the top 3 Blitzer skills.
I have a player with Strip Ball and he has occasionally used it, but on the whole tackle & MB is enough to scare most blodgers. It can force the Sure Hands players to hold on to the ball for longer but is usually more effective on faster and more manouverable players than Orcs.
Final point, I have 2 +1 MA Blitzers and would take it again if rolled. The extra speed is excellent for Blitzing and Scoring and catches opponents blindside when they start to think Orcs are slow.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

I just started an orc team a few weeks ago. My plan was...
Blitzer - Guard, Tackle Doubles: Stand Firm
BOB's - Block, Mighty Blow Doubles: Stand Firm
In practice I rolled a MA increase on one Blitzer and an Ag increase on another. All 4 have skills so its 2 Guards. Next skill will be tackle on all of them but changed to Dodge on doubles for the stat guys.
One BOB with Stand Firm and one with Block.
Munkeys suggestion seems like a good one to me but I usually play with BOBs on the LOS keeping guys off their feet and Blitzers down one side. I take guard on them because they usually end up by themselves and need man multipliers to stay ahead. So it depends on your strategy me thinks.
