Defense = make it as hard as possible for the enemy to score. And I think that WE are quiet good at speeding up, making TD etc. and the Wardancer is a great Cagebreaker but everytime he is doing it he is on a suicide Mission and if he fails he will have about 3 Blocks agains him and maybe a Blitz. Ok and maybe the Ballcarrier is going down in the Cage? what then? If its not able to take the Ball or throw it away from the cage anotherone takes the ball and will go on. No thats not the way. Thats not really good def. Good Def. is the possibility to stop the Cage and or the Runners and slow them Down. Most Dwarf have Tackle and Block so its quiet easy for them to bring even quick Dodgerunners down. Thats good def. But it always depends on the perspective you have about Def.

Hm let me say: the other teams dont want to score against woodies. All teams in my league played the 2:1 game against my woodies. It was disgusting.I had a great defense with my woodies. LOL.

So i used kick and tried to ge the ball. I was very unlucky with this. Lol the kick skill didnt work as it should.

My td were'nt a prob. They were so scared for my ability to score every time they didnt played fast. They didnt want to made fast TD cause they know i will make one Td when i recieve.

I'd probably say Wood Elves and Skaven both have excellent defences - primarily because they are very good at exploiting any mistake and can be effective at getting the ball loose in the 1st place.

However I'd say CD's are very hard to score against - Dwarves are relatively easy to catch out of position - and if you get through the line they often can't catch up. CD's have Bull Centaurs and Hobgobs which give them enough speed to recover.

I would say chaos.

Beastman and there horns give perfect oportunities to pop ther ball free and after some mutations it will even harder to score against them. The Chaos Warriors and Minotauer give enough power to hold the line or stzop a cage.

I wanted to vote halflings, but they weren't there so I voted dwarves(not that I play a lot against dwarves).

But woodelves aren't that hard to score against, they're just hard to beat(not with my luck).

It has been said before; Chaos.

A BG and 4 Warriors to bludgeon any cage and foul appearance/pass-block/tentacles to make passing play rather difficult.

I LOVE tentacles on ST5 players; nothing fouls up a cage worse than a blitzing Mino who ends up next to the ball with his tentacles. Then pile on (no, not the skill necessarily) some Warriors and beasts (plenty guard!) and hey presto.

A lovely sight.

I voted Dwarves just because of all the Tackle they start out with. Bearing that in mind, any team when developed right can become a very stingy defence orientated team to allow few if any TDs or Completions. However, most folks only develop skills in players that either promote a Passing game or a Casualty game. And why because that is where most of the SPPs are to be had.
Granted, one could develope a Human Catcher with Pass Block, Tackle, Diving Tackle, and Shadowing skills to make a killer Defensive back that would be a nightmare to recievers and Throwers alike. But that is level a 4 Star Player with at least 61 SPPs. Used just for defence, most head coaches would concider that a waste of SPPs to allowcate to one player. Simply because one good blitz from a Blitzer with Tackle drops that catchers like a sack of potatoes.
Point being is this any good defencive team has to be developed at the cost of being a scoring machine. Simply because you have to make sure that the SPPs are getting spread to your Defencive squad as much as possible. On Offence you can get away with 3 super stars and still score TDs left and right, ( a Thrower, a Runner, and a receiver.) But a powerful defence take 11 players who have been commited to Defensive skills progression, ( Block, Tackle, Pass Block, Diving TAckle, Shadowing,
Guard, Pro, Strip Ball, Catch, Leap, Foul Appearance, Prehensile Tail, Tentacles.) However there are a few skills that do cross over between scoring and playing good defence.
