Played my third game yesterday against the Khemri player. I made a mistake and he only have a TV of 100 so no inducements.
once again i was pounded senseless, although I sustained no MNG's nor any permanent injuries (the only one being saved by an apoc.
However 2 members of the team skilled up. These are standard skill rolls and I cant see taking anything else except the "default" skills, unless anyone see otherwise
The team looks like this
Blocker, +1 MA, Block
Blocker
Blitzer, Block
Blitzer, Block
Blitzer, Block
Blitzer, Block, Dodge
Thrower, Pass, Surehands
Lineman
Lineman
Goblin, Dodge, Stunty, The right Stuff
Journeyman lineman.

You think that's a bad start to a league.
An all Chaos league, TR100 (LRB4 rules).
We've just finished the first half, and I've got 2 dead Beastmen, one Beastman at -1ST (to be retired), a MNG and 2 KOs, that obviously decided not to start the 2nd half.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Ah yes, sorry your right there.Cramy wrote:If you rolled normal rolls, the Blitzer can't take Dodge. I'd suggest Guard or Tackle, depending on if you are facing lots of agility teams or lots of strength teams.
The teams in my leage are 2 x humans, khemri, dwarf, 2x chaos, 2 x skaven, wood elf + High Elf. So it seems to be a mix between bashy and finesse. hmm...im stumped now

Mighty Blow now and Tackle next, or the other way around if your next match is against a dodgy team. Block on the BOB is good because it works well with his +MA.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

That was spoken better than I've ever hear it said before. THANKS!TuernRedvenom wrote:Orcs with strip ball, meh, they're not fast and agile enough to make great use of it. Just put that ballcarrier on its ass instead, no fancy tricks (leave that to elves) and it works just as well.

I played my 4th game yesterday against Dwarves and while I lost again (placing me firmly at the bottom of our league) no one died or was permanently injured. Which to me, is a good game.
I got a normal skill up on a lineman (which I assume I should use to give him Block).
I dont think I made too many mistakes during the game, but I did make a clanger in the second turn of the first half, when i decided to foul with one of my only BoB's and ended up getting him sent off. At least it stop him getting injured :/.
