I think there are VERY few things you can say in this game that are ALWAYS a no-no.

Clearly, making a habit of 1/2 die blocks when you don't have block (or other applicable skills) is a recipe for disaster. However, there are times when it is the best available option.

BB is a game of calculated risk. Sometimes that's the best (only) option left.

I agree to this completely. I play Skaven a lot, and I have thrown my fair-share of 1/2 die blocks, even without any skills. Of course, this is a last resort tactic, but sometimes last resort does come-up.

And matt, you are right that Mummies will not be carrying the ball most of the time. But the Mummies will be guarding the ball carrier. Which player has the better odds at hitting the ball carrier standing in the middle of Mummies? The GRs do. And even if you bring-in a blitzer, he probably will not be able to get to the ball carrier, and it will likely be a 1/2 die block anyways if the Mummies have some guard. So blitz with the GRs (and that where leap helps).

And most Khemri coaches will get real nervous when a half is almost over and you start to throw blocks on their ball carrier, even 1/2 die blocks. The risk of losing the ball and not being able to pick-it up in time to score is often enough to make them score quicker than they should. Of course, you don't want to start leaping GRs in a Khemri cage on the 1st/2nd turn of a half.

It´s fairly easy, put three linerats on the line of scrimmage, then the rat ogre (if you have one) right behind them. If they push, you can push them back fast. One or two Gutter Runners in the second row is best too, if the damned bones aren´t able to collect the ball in the first try (Agi 2 helps big time) you can get the ball fast and make your own touchdown. Just remember to be patient. No damn mummy can protect the ball carrier the whole time, not with their speed. you can run around them three times with every of your players.

Yes. Always is a tough word though. A damaged/Niggled something-or-other against a valuable player in a position that isn't all that important later in the game and it's the end of my turn.... Maybe I'll take it and hope to get lucky.
