Thats why my high elf cathers get guard, and not NOS. But they are STR3 and AG4 so its even nicer.

Whell just 2 keep you informed I went the conservative way and took BLOCK. Well it safed my ass in game 2 against Darkelfes. Maybe I will miss NoS in the future a bit, but at the moment I can life with my decision very well.

Thanks to all of you, who helped me out thinking a litte bit different again ;)

Uh.. you took block on a doubles roll? You know human catchers have GA access, right? Block on a normal roll, NoS or Guard (or Dauntless) on a doubles.

Still, good that it saved him.

Good choice. All players should have Block as is evidenced by the amount of players who take it as a 1st skill even over useful skills.

Maybe Block should be an automatic first skill no matter who you are. If you start with Block or don't have G access, though, you have to skip the 1st upgrade and wait till your second skill upgrade to get your 1st earned skill.

Well, if it makes you feel any better Snew, I have a Nurgle team in the championship game and I don't have ANY block (and only 1 guard). I have only lost 1 game in 10 with a blockless Nurgle team.

Dauntless is a general skill.

I would take guard followed by block and sidestep - 31 SPP is not so hard for cathcer to achive. As soon as you hit 16 SPP and take block, you have a fast blodging guard player which is very usefull both in offense and defense.

If he survive long enough to get sidestep he will be real pain for opponents.
