Re: Fun team
Another thought - is it possible at all to get anything out of Shadowing and maybe build a team strategy around it?
The issue here is that it works best on fast players such as skaven but fast players tend to be weak and there's no point in dodging away from weak players.
If it works, what's the best team to try a mass-shadowing strategy? Humans, with block, side-step then shadowing on the catchers and stand firm and shadowing on the blitzers? Or skaven, same thing with the gutter runners and the blitzers?

Re: Fun team
I believe a dark elf shadowing team was proposed elsewhere on this forum. Mostly for fun, but as shadowing can be used on follow-up moves it may allow for some strong blocking schemes.
Delf linemen doesn't have very high move speed, but four blitzers, two witches, and two runners make for eight MA7 players! Enough to make the shadowing concept useful. And of course you should get the assassins also when you can afford them as they fit right in even thouh they are MA6.
As delf is a strong team I'd say you should restrict yourself to picking shadowing as 1st skill on everyone is this is going to be a "inferior but fun" team. Possibly allowing it as second on the linos only.

Re: Fun team
I think the shadowing team wouldn't do very well (because in itself, it has no solution for just getting bashed), but I'd make it out of Skaven if I had to. Mainly because of Prehensile Tail access. Shadowing + Prehensile Tail linemen. Shadowing could use a little buff in effectiveness, though. Usually the guys you really want to be following are pretty fast and faster than the ones you'd be willing to sacrifice Shadowing on, so it becomes difficult.

Re: Fun team
It was This thread.
Shadowing would be a fun skill to take but not an effective one. I’d suggest taking it on a team with at least AV8 or one that had some defensive skills such as block or dodge.
The trouble with shadowing is that most of the players that could use it best tend to not want to be in opposing player’s tackle zones. Either that or the target is sufficiently fast or agile to not make the skill much of an inconvenience.

Re: Fun team
Yes, we all agree it wouldn't be good, hence why it is a fun team (teams that suck are fun, don't you lnow? ^^)
Agree, that one would want av8 though. The shadowing would be for blocking purposes a lot of the time. So shadowing then blodge up.

Fun team
I played the all skeleton team for a local league. It was tons of fun. For the finals I added real players and ruined it. But the league around here always resets so it was done as soon as i lost. Since making the team I always use it against some one learning the game.
I had a 2 ag skeleton. Dodge 3 times
Pick up the ball and sprint 2 times for a game winning last turn td. Just epic....
I think all skeleton or chaos pact with no big guys are great teams for leagues.

A chaos pact team with no big guys is broken, not fun. The marauders are so cheap with amazing skill access. Big Guys actually make the team less competitive.nerdkingdan wrote:I think all skeleton or chaos pact with no big guys are great teams for leagues.

Re: Fun team
Could also try a Khemri team without Tomb Guardians. You will lack the ST5 issue (and also the Decay one) and it will be quite difficult to play with...
