To be fair to the other coaches, they haven't been playing the game that long, and none of them have really faced lizardmen.
I went with stand firm first, but it was a double and I could get stand firm anyway?
Two double rolls finally for my lizards

Stand firm you could have taken on a regular skill roll, yes. Sidestep is more annoying than Stand Firm, and not negated by Juggernaut. So it is definately not a bad choice. I have a Dodge/Break Tackle Saurus, however, which is really cool to surprise opponents.

As I said, not a bad choice, and I believe you wont regret it. On a sidenote, apart from Sidestep and Dodge I have Diving Tackle on a Saurus which proves really handy against agile teams. Especially together with Stand Firm and/or Tackle.
