I'd use him at OLB. Put the +AG/Guard Blitzer at the other OLB, with the other Guard Blitzer on the nose. Either that or put him at nose, with both Guard Blitzers in OLB roles. Are either of your -MA guys close to advancing? 'Cause you do kind of need some Side Step on the line in addition to the two corners in order to get maximum mileage out of the "Charlie Brown 3-4." (You know, the one where you put all your guys in a squiggly line!)

22 & 24 spps. Becuse of block/dodge & wrestle/dodge they really do good on LOS.

Next skills will probably be Fend before Side Step on theese guys.

Don't do it, man! SS is WAY better than Fend on the line. Having an SS'er on the line means he can't be chain-blocked, or rather that to chain-block the guy necessitates the use of Grab (most teams have no more than one Grabber, so this means no Grab on the blitz). Frequently, the oppo doesn't even want his center to follow on the weakside to begin with, so as to leave room for chain-pushes later on down the line, and in that case Fend is worthless. If they didn't have Dodge and you had a Big Guy on the line, then I could see the Fend argument, maybe. But you're not far from having SS on your ILBs and you've already got it on your corners and safeties, so spread it thick for maximum tar-baby obnoxiousness.

Now, both together — that's a b***ch, and many other unkind things, as your opponent would tell you. But the whole point of Fend is that it's SS/SF's cheesy G-access cousin: low-rent but viable. SS is the Cadillac to Fend's Saturn. Both get you to the grocery store, but if you could have either and it's all the same....

I decided to take Stand Firm on my lineman. Why?

I was about to take Guard, but I will probably play diffrent with the team with 3 guard players, and that will probably give me headaches

With lots of Side Step and one stand firm (later on Block/Dogde) will build walls to keep the opponent away from my ballcarriers.

I will comeback and tell how it will work.

Rerolls: 4, Fan Factor: 11, Cash: 320K, TV: 231

Witch Elf 7 3 4 7 Frenzy, Dodge, Jump-Up, Block, Tackle, Side Step, Mighty Blow, Wrestle (took wrestle as last skill just to have the opportunity to bring down ballcarriers and to have a nice defence choice)
Witch Elf 7 3 4 7 Frenzy, Dodge, Jump-Up, Wrestle, Side Step, Tackle

Blitzer 7 3 4 9 Block, Dodge, Side Step, Fend
Blitzer 7 3 4 8 Block, Dodge, Guard, Tackle
Blitzer 7 3 4 8 Block, Catch (trying to build a "catcher" for my runners and the dump-off games)
Blitzer 7 3 5 8 Block, Guard, Dodge, Leap (this player is great as long as I roll 2+ on leap  )

Runner 7 3 4 7 Dump-Off, Nerves of Steel, Pass, Block
Runner 7 3 4 7 Dump-Off, Block, Dodge

Lineman 6 3 4 8 Block (*se down page)
Lineman 6 3 4 8 Block, Dodge, Side Step
Lineman 6 3 4 8 Block, Dodge, Side Step
Lineman 6 3 4 8 Stand Firm, Block (side step combined with stand firm is great. going for dodge next)
Lineman 5 3 4 8 Block, Dodge (LOS player)
Lineman 4 3 4 8 Wrestle, Dodge (LOS player)

(*) what skill on the Block lineman.
1. Dodge (keep him alive)
2. Fend (the cheap version of stand firm)
3. Side Step (to have another side stepper is always annoying to the opponents)
4. Dirty Player (try to boot out the opponent)
5. Sneaky Git (before dirty player or after)
6. Kick (do I need a kicker)
7. Tackle (more tackle?)
8. Kick-Off Return (why? just to come closer to the ball)
9. Dauntless (bring down the big and strong)
10. Help me out!

Side Step. With SS'ers at all four blitz-absorber positions, or at the corners and line-ends, plus a SF'er at the LOS, you're pretty much completely impenetrable without Leap, letting you play your safeties deep against speed if you want.

I like the idea of SS ends; that makes your line very hard to injure, as your ends can only take one block each and both have Block.

I'd take Kick. You've plenty of players so can use him for that. If not, then dodge.

Oops. Didn't see you didn't have a kicker. Yeah, Ian's right. You still need one more SS'er, though. Preferably a guy who already has Blodge, but just Block will do. If either of the gimpy linos goes up, make it him.

If Witch #2 hits 51, give her Diving Tackle!

Kick on the lineman, guard on the double lineman. Thats what Id do.

Strip Ball on a blitzer leaper.

Leap on a juggernaut WE.

That are the two players that I miss, who are essential in my play. Wich tells me right away that we play DE diffrently wich is great. :)

Side Step is nice, but I wouldnt spam my team with it. Youve got 4 SS already, including the essential WEs, thats plenty. A tackle/wrestle/sidestep is a nice playerbasher, cagebreaker and cornerback. I would get one or two of those.

Naggaroth United is again up for matches. I played in our leagues Chaos Cup and come second place, but the good part is that I got four skillups!

The new league is on and I play the team in our first Legend Division (260+ TV) ever. I compete with a chaos and a high elf team (all are 260+ TV) and I needed to get a reroll and two rookie linemens to enter it.

This is the team now and I would like some inputs on how to choose the last skills. I wanted to try out Shadowing on alot of players, but after long thinking it may be wasted skills

I will play the other two teams twice (already played the chaos team and won with a great portion of luck with 1-0). The team also play in our Fury Cup and my first match will be against an orc team with only 190 TV, so I guess I will get alot of inducements in my back!

*= skillchoices. Help me out. Normal / Double
All players are shown so you now my teams skills.

Witch Elf 7 3 4 7 Frenzy, Dodge, Jump-Up, Wrestle, Side Step, Tackle (*Dauntless, Shadowing or Strip Ball. Juggernaut or Mighty Blow)

Blitzer 7 3 4 8 Block, Dodge, Guard, Tackle, Side Step (*Fend, Shadowing or Diving Tackle. Mighty Blow or normal skill?)
Blitzer 7 3 4 8 Block, Catch (*Dodge and Side Step next)
Blitzer 7 3 5 8 Block, Guard, Dodge, Leap (*Side Step, Fend or Shadowing. I can’t find a good double roll skill!)

Runner 7 3 4 7 Dump-Off, Nerves of Steel, Pass, Block (*Dodge or Side Step. Classic Runner!)
Runner 7 3 4 7 Dump-Off, Block, Dodge (*Sure Hands, Accurate or Kick-Off Return. Strong Arm. Make him a “thrower”)

Lineman 6 3 4 8 Block, Dodge (*Side Step, Fend or Catch. Guard or Stand Firm.)
Lineman 6 3 4 8 Block, Dodge, Side Step (*Fend or Diving Tackle. Guard.)
Lineman 6 3 4 8 Block, Dodge, Side Step, Kick (*Fend)
Lineman 6 3 4 8 Wrestle (*Jump-Up, Tackle or Dodge. Grab or Stand Firm.)
Lineman 5 3 4 8 Stand Firm, Block (*Dodge or Jump-Up. Probably Guard on double.)
Lineman 4 3 4 8 Wrestle, Dodge (*Side Step or Jump-Up. Stand Firm.)

And two rookie linemen. I'm planning dirty player and sneaky git on them.

Who goes to the line? Who are your corners? Who protects them? Who soaks up inside blitzes? Who are your safeties?

I'd definitely get Sure Hands next on the AG5 guy, or maybe Dump-Off or Safe Throw on doubles. Or Nerves. The Blodge Runner I'd use as an O specialist, and get him either SH or KoR. If you use the SS/Guard Blitzer as a nose tackle, you'll want to get him Fend. If you use him as an outside LB, you'll want Leap. Someone should get Dauntless, but I'd try to find a lino without Tackle. Like the MA5 or MA4 guys, or maybe your Blodge/SS or Blodge linos.

I use these three players on LOS

Lineman 5 3 4 8 Stand Firm, Block
Lineman 4 3 4 8 Wrestle, Dodge
Lineman 6 3 4 8 Wrestle or Lineman 6 3 4 8 Block, Dodge

Can you diagram your setup, or a couple of common setups?
