Jervis has a phobia of odd numbers, so that's the reason all positions other than BGs are even.

Seriously, 0-3 was sggested for various positions early in the vault process, and JJ nixed it.
There seem to be a lot of unwritten design rules that have come about after working on the vault rules for many years.

Have these ever really been captured any where? If for no other reason than so people can realize what will simply be ignored?

I'm not necessarily saying a player change is in order, but...

4/4/1/10 Stand Firm, Regenerate, 100k? This is still clearly a better deal than a BOB on a 1-1 basis, but this is a 100k+ player, and a 0-2 position on an 8-pos roster, so that's acceptable. Likewise in comparisons vs. the Mummy, he doesn't come up as short (still short, but again that's ok: Undead don't have Werewolves). +AV is a huge power-up over Thick Skull, but doesn't look like it on paper, plus this guy's obviously got the whole AG1 gimmick going, so he feels more min-maxed than discounted. Still kind of a fromage thing going there, but not so depressing at least.

IMO, knocking off -1AG alone is too much for -10k and too little for -20k; trading TS for +AV evens it out well. And then you can have 70k RRs and the team comes out ok. This is also fewer starting skills at the same power level, always a plus when it comes to game/team management.

I like the earlier suggestion of 4/4/1/9 Grab, Stand Firm, Regenerate, Thick Skull, 110k and 60k RRs. However, I think that with 60k RRs, the player doesn't need any improvement and the roster as is would be fine. On paper, the FG is a fine deal. The real problem is in how the money breaks down.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
