How to use Witch Elves

OK, I admit it. I just can't use Witch Elves.
Hag Graef Widowmakers
My solitary WE has now played 5 or 6 games, and has managed to earn a grand total of 2 SPP's, both from Comp. I've tried to use here as a receiever, a blitzer, a safety and a thrower, and she either spends the game in the KO/Inj box, or just failing 2+ dice rolls everywhere. I think she's managed to break AV nce, and then only for a KO.
Where do I go now?

1) Use frenzy to make holes. A standard defence can have a nice big hole ripped in it by careful use of a frenzied player as you'll get a 2nd chance push.
2) Push people OOB - so try to take play down the sidelines
3) Sweeper
Initially I'd try to feed her a couple of TDs as she really needs block asap.

So keep pusing her as a receiver for the moment? Ok, I'll keep at it, though I'm getting seriosly pissed at the number of 2+ with RR's she's failing

Using her as receiver imo leaves her as a big target... Being expensive and highly deadly she´ll attract a lot of attention and end up spending a lot of time in the box.
No - I would dedicate her to primarily keep the side lines open... Place her in safety behind your line and strike at the right moment to push pposing players (preferably! haha) over the sides. Do it in a blitz and make sure to get her back in safety again. That´ll annoy the h*** out of your opponent - trust me...
Frenzy players = Good chances for outnumbering... Just make him use his side lines and go for it. Risk a few 1d blocks and make your opponent tremble with fear... Like Dark Elves do... hehehe

Trouble with that is that she's unlikely to be getting any SPP's, and without Block, she ends up falling on her arse a lot.

But it will still be easier to score with her once you outnumber with a player or two...

I scored twice with each witch in their first game using them as "recievers" for that moments. My game is really a running one, so receiving is not really the right expression though.
Once the got block i am using them to get people of the pitch with their frenzy.

Make a cage and protect your WE, then make the TD's and get her Block and a second skill ASAP. Don't ever use her in the Los or she will probably be knocked out.
If you blitz then make sure you don't end up in a TZ. If you do, then get the hell out of there again.
It's like playing Wardancers in a Wood Elf team, just that in the game I'm playing against you, I don't have any left so something went wrong there!

I agree with those that say feed her a couple of TDs as quickly as possible. Use a loose cage to protect her and run her through. Once she has Block you can then use her as a blitzer-type.
Use your blitzers and MA+1 lineman as support and/or distractions and hopefully you will be able to score with her soon. Also if you score once with her, she only needs the completion and she'll be there... easy-peasy!

If only

I'll pray for a Touchback then, and give her the bal, as I'm losingconfidence in wherter she's an Elf or a Black Orc (no catching, no pick ups, no dodging).
Maybe I've taken over Martyn's negative self-belief

What? You tried using the Witch Elf as a safety and it didn't work? The WE is the best safety in the game, a WE with block then tackle then strip ball is the best defensive player there is against anything fast. If you're up against strong, slow teams you don't need a safety, you need a linebacker and that's not the WE. In that case, she wants to support the front runners or play sweeper in case of a counter-attack.

But as I said in my first post, she's not managing anything, and hasn't even got her first skill yet.

Well, that means jack squat to me.

The safety concept I understand but Linebacker? Long time since I saw NFL.

Sorry... maybe I should have said "easy-peasy, unless you're as rubbish as me!"

A linebacker isn't a quaterback, which means that he runs about and then jumps on someone. That's as far as my American football knowledge goes!
