My Darkelves have 90k in cash and have to play an undead team (semis BubbleCup.)
What to do, what to do?
My team: Omega Order
Aaron 5348 Guard DOESN'T PLAY this game
Bindusara 6348 Block, Dodge
Caliban 6348 Kick
Darius 6348 Leader, Guard
Ebanezer 6348 Catch
Ferox 6348 Block
Gideon 6348 Dodge
Hannigan 6348 Guard
Ian Blitzer 7348 Block,MightyBlow,Tackle 30spp
Owen Orphanmaker Blitzer 7348 Block
Kendrick Blitzer 7348 Block, Leap, Dodge, Stripball
Luther "the Lucky" Thrower 6358 Pass, AG+, StrongArm
Marca 7347 Dodge, Frenzy, JumpUp, Block, Sidestep, 30spp
Nousha 7347 Dodge, Frenzy, JumpUp, Block
3RR, 9FF, Apo, Rating 197.
Sum up, 13 players able to play, 90k in cash...
Do i save it for the 4th Blitzer? Do i buy a 2nd thrower? Do i hire Horkon?
(did you see the number of doubles i rolled here?

)
My opponents team:
2 Mummies, both block, 1 guard 1 tackle
3 RookieGhouls (they break easily)
1 Blodge-surehands-surefeet ghoul
4 whights; 1 with blodge,AG4
1 with blodge-tackle
1 with tackle-MB
1 with tackle-SureHands
I am feeling towards hiring the knife...

It looks to me as you have chance saving the money. What are your possible opponents in the final? You might want to save the dough and freeboot in the final if you get that far...

suppose i win you mean
Either my own ChaosPact team, or a Norse team or a HighElfteam.
But due to losing the other final in our league to the same opponent, i want to win this semi MORE then i want to win the final.

Well... If it means that much to you, it is quite easy isn't it? Just freeboot. That gives you the most value for money.

If this game is more important than the final, you Freeboot.
Truth of the matter is that neither team has enough tackle for this matchup. The ball carriers are going to be VERY tough to take down...
I might consider the wizard over a freebooted player (I think of the wizard as a standard freebooter that everyone's allowed) in order to break up the undead's cage. This should let you get in and break things up to prevent the 2-1 undead 'stall victory'. If you put the 2nd TD on the board, you can change the tempo of the game to your advantage.

Well...more important...yeah...let's make it equally important.

Sounds like good advise. Hiring a wizard will steal my opponents option to play the clock reliable. That is cool.
But i only have 13 players, and he has some hardhitters...
Hiring the knife, will get me to 14 players, and perhaps some easy casualties on his ghouls (or his blodge wights) to even the numbers somewhat.
Without his ghouls he will be too slow for me i guess.
What do you think about that?

I agree that neither side has enough tackle. Ian, your blitzer, will probably be your big playmaker, and should content himself in chasing and eliminating gouls.
Harkon would be a good back up for him. He has leap and the knife, so if he cages up on those gouls Harkon can still get the carrier.

I think that I fear the cage more than I fear losing a player. The wizard has a good chance of making the cage irrelevant by forcing a more wide-open game. It's certainly a 'riskier' strategy, but if it pays off, it's almost a win by itself. I think that the extra player is a more conservative choice which will protect your team more. Personally, I don't mind playing a man or two down with elves and skaven, so I'd rather take the shot.

I got the wizard, and forgot to use him (allways happens to me)
But i did win 3-1, so that is good
i only got 30k winnings,and thus 70kcash.
And my apo failed to heal a death, and the thrower got a Nig and won;t play the finals, nor will the kicker. Only 11 players but perhaps i should buy a lineelf.

i also prefer 2 freebooting lineman

Agreed, that is what i would do if i didn't go on with this team, but i am.
So that is not really an option i think.
I am thinking about indeed buying a Lineman (thereby having more chance to win and at the prizemoney) or just save it to buy the 4th Blitzer first.

Either Freeboot a wizard and use him on the Mummies asap, dont worry about the cage, if you can take a Mummy out early the cage wont be a problem.
Or Freeboot two Linemen and use them as LOS Fodder against the Mummies, or to tie the Mummies up to stop them taking part in the game too much
