What do u prefer when using Kick with a fast Team like Skaven or Elves:
a) Kick the Ball near the LOS and hope to get a Blitz
b) Kick the Ball deep into the enemys Half to make him slowley ?

usually b), if you manage to kick in 2-3 squares to the corner and the opponent doesn't manage to pick up the ball in the first round, I usually score with my Skaven

and if he manages to pick it up, his offence is severely disrupted by having 1-3 Skaven between his ball carrier and hte rest of his team.
If I outnumber the opponent or if he has set up deep bc of the above, I kick short trying to tie up the opponents going for the ball. Surprise!

Basically if your opponent is slow and has difficultly moving the ball b) otherwise a).
So against Elves kick short and hope for a blitz or handling error. Against Orcs kick deep and hope you manage to stop the cage forming.

It often depends on your opponents set up. Knowing you have kick they'll try to cover all areas most likely with a symmetrical offensive line-up, but there are often gaps of coverage that can be exploited. Most often because the player skills are not symmetrical. EG because your opponent only has 1 sure hands player or a thrower with accurate and one without.
Also you need to consider the players that you have to take advantage of a well placed kick. For example my Chaos team has a +1 Ag, strip ball blitzer. So I try to place the ball in a position where I can use my Ag to nip through cover and sack the ball carrier. Normally a short kick close to one side.
And remember that if you use the same type of kick and setup of your team your opponent will start to pre-empt your play. Its useful to mix it up just so the other side doesn't know what to expect.

Exactly.

I found against skaven a deep kick led my opponent to make the pass on the way to a 2 turn TD a bit longer.
At the time I was playing a necromantic team with a badly hungover werewolf so my defensive sweeping wasn't what it might be.
Would dwarves tend to kick deep more to slow the opponent down or short and hope to be abel to get a slayer close enough?

Depends on who you are playing.
Against another slow team kick it deep. They either have to form the cage deep (not at half field) or risk you getting your 'fast' players around the ball and getting a turnover. Forming the cage deep can be a problem for them if your linemen are tying up their best blockers. This pits your 'fast' players against the rest of their team, usually a good matchup for you. Putting the ball short against these teams only helps if you get a blitz. A mishandled ball won't do much good since their whole team will be around it anyway.
Against a fast team kick it short. If they keep it short you can put some pressure on the ball. If they mishandle the ball or you get a blitz you have a real chance to get the ball for yourself. Unlike the slow teams they spread out for the passing game so a mishandled ball will only have a few opposing players around it. Note that decent Elf and Skaven teams can move the ball 25 squares without breaking a sweat so they won't care if the ball is deep, in fact they actually prefer it. If you try pressuring a deep ball you will just spread out your defense and not really apply that much pressure.

Kick can also help you control the clock - if you want to slow down the game you kick deep etc.

Kick is also an essential skill against Khemri.

Usually b, so that even if they get the ball before me they don't have such a great cage and have a long way to march, but it depends on whether he is expecting this and has players back.

I play with a khemri team and for me it is always good to kick short, cause i can put pressure on the ball carrier with the mummies and the blitz-ra. If i get a blitz there is a good chance to knock the offence over and surrounding the ball with some players or pick it up.
Against a team like khemri you should kick deep, cause they have much problems to move the ball fast. With a long kick you force such teams to do some uncommon, risky actions to get the ball into your half and make it to the endzone without time running out.
Against agility teams a long kick is a mistake, fast and agile teams like the ball deep in the hands of a thrower out of blitz range.

Always prefer to kick deep because takes longer to move the offense. Maybe can gain a turn before any major action. However 2turn offense teams wont care at all.
Currently enjoy a front-line scrimage kick. very rare for someone to set up with this in mind so acually gives more disruption than a deep kick. Not very nice on slow teams because they sometimes have to panic react. Can screw a cage team more than a deep kick; becuase of change in shape to offense unless they get lucky

Should you always buy kick on your first lineman advance?

Not necessarily, though it does give you more tactical flexibility. I must admit, and I am probably going against the flow here, but with my DE's I rely more on their natural flair and so will often only pick up kick on a 3rd skill roll.
