You know... when all your friends teams progress in the same way the game stay balanced...
This team is semi-retired... I play one off games with it against my friends semi-retired teams , equivalent in TR.

I think he's right: ypu coul have a TR 600 team, but if all your friends have teams with TR between 595 and 610, the game is balanced.
but our higest TR is 325, and the league will begin again soon.

TR 521...
OUCH!!!!!
Our league does this with regards to retired teams: we send their Star Players to our own Hall of Fame (we don't use cards so this is the only way to do it), plus allowing them to be hired as Freebooters. If they get SId, they recover fully after the game, but if they are kilt, they're gonna stay dead, by Khorne! Dead Hall of Famers stay in the Hall regardless, they just can't be hired as Freebooters anymore (that happened to Star Player witch elf Roxanna Darknail a couple years ago).

excellent idea!
What we do is play an "All Star Game", with the star of the good teams against the stars of the evil teams

Which is why ageing is ridiculous. Some teams start very well and so get a lot of success early on. Others become a lot stronger later on. On as long as teams progress at a similar pace there is nothing wrong with 500 TR teams. The only reason I had a TR cap was to let other teams catch up.
As for Malice he has been a bit unlucky in that he has had only 1 stat increase from the dice, but ofcourse a player loaded with ability none the less.
Go DE's the Master Race in Fantasy!

I find ageing a good solution:
Before this rule we played with TR between 290-400+ and it took about 4 hours to complete a game.
It is very annoying when you and your opponent need about 10 minutes per turn and most of the time what skills the other player has (and every player had at least 4 skills)
Now we made a little house rule so the first ageing rule is made withe the 3rd skill.

I know this is an old thread but why dont you just enforce the 4 minute time limit per team turn Kithor? I always play it with experienced coaches.

experienced coaches aren't the ones that need the 4min rule.
