chaos dwarf vs lizards NEED HELP

I know there are searches for such topics, but I'm a rookie facing a divisional game and I think I'm in trouble. I'm playing in a 24 player league and the guy in my division plays lizards and is already head and shoulders above everyone else in the league. I play Chaos dwarfs and my roster is:
6 cds: 1 with gaurd
2 bc: 1 with break tackle
1 troll-rookie
4 hob--1 with block--1 with sure hands

Lizard team
2-rookie saurus
3-saurus with block and one of them also has MB
1-saurus with +1str
krox-block
2-rookie skink
3 skink-side step
1 skink-sidestep,sure hands, +1mv

Like I said, I think I'm in trouble. I know that I should get as many hits on the skinks as possible. The only problem is getting through his line to do it. I think on defense I should play a 3-4-4 with the troll and a couple rookie cd's on the front line for fodder, and get a BC in the backfield to hurry up his attack (what do you guys think?). On offense I'm clueless on what to do. He doesn't have any break tackle on saurus which I think is a mistake so tying them up won't be a problem but I don't think I will have enogh left to get around all those skink in the back.. Maybe give it to my break tackle BC and break through as fast as possible? Any and all advice is welcome for offense and defense. Any formations would help as well. I lost my 2 pre season games by 1 score in each and I'm 2-1 in the regular season. I'm improving everygame, but this one looks really tough. Please give me some ideas. Thanks!

Its going to be tough.

You are going to be out muscled the whole game, fortunately a majority of your guys can take it.

There are two ways I would approach defense of this game.

The first would be just a line assualt. Throw just about everything at the line and make for a lot of dice rolling. If you can bottle it up enough he may have trouble getting his skinks through. Keep your BC's in somewhat free positions to get skinks a BC and one assist is a 3 die block on them.. And any time a CD can hit one, do it.

The other way I would handle it, is to let them have the line. leave 4 CD's on it. With some luck they can keep all his muscle occupied. Allowing your BC's and hobs to make some opportunity plays.

Offense is a little different. Either get the ball to a BC or have your BC's screen for your Hobs. Use all your CD's just to keep his muscle occupied. The best thing you have going for you is that none of his Sauri have Break Tackle.

I would not spend too much time chasing after him in his own zone on defence, but you are going to want those few Chaos Dwarves on the Chaos Dwarf roster to keep in contact with the Skinks and try and let Tackle get one or 2 off the field on dodges.

You already know that you should be hitting the Skinks, but hit them with Tackle. Unless he is clustering up the Skinks you can't really afford to use your Bulls to get 3 dice. Since they don't have Block you are going to be dropping them often.

I would consider throwing 40K (if you have it) on 2 freebooted Hobs as your oster looks like you are at the point of pushing for RRs over players now. Use them for tying up the Saurii and if this is a VERY serious league, you can use them to foul out against Skinks.

I'd try to use blockers against those skinks. With only ag3 without dodge and block they'll go down if blocked and can't dodge without using some team rerolls. So keep at least two beardy guys ready to blitz and tie up in defense. This means only four or less blockers to tie up those strength packages but the rookie bull, troll and hobgoblins will do the job well enough. If you play it well you should be able to use guard guy so you can make some 2d blocks against those lazy lizards.

On offense your bt bull will have to do much of the work because he can move around pretty easily. I'd use either him or a hobgoblin as ballcarrier and try to outmanouver him. Again, tackle kills dodge.

Remember that 4+ isn't bad with reroll to get a blocker next to skink as last thing in a turn if you can afford that reroll.

Yep - use your BCs and Troll to tie up Saurus - along with 4 CDs. That leaves you 2 CDs and the hobgobs to go skink hunting.

Once the skinks are out, your numerical superiority, combined with his complete lack of mobility, ought to ensure victory.

results of game:lost 1-3.. cas for3 cas against 1. the game started with his skinks doing 15-20 dodges and getting them all. I could have scored again but bc failed gfi. None of my players got seriously hurt and 4 gained new skills. This lizard team is in my division so I will get a chance to revenge myself and kill lizards!!!!!! Thanks to all who gave me some insight. He had a tough line to break but when I did, I had my way with him. Thanks!

Put the skinks to the ground w/ the CDs and have the hobbos foul them to pieces.
