Hello, this is my first post,
i play orcs obviously,
I have a Blitzer with block and tackle and i get another skill,
which is better guard or strip ball?

well, i personally lean towards guard, for two reasons:
- i think strip ball and tackle don't combo well
- i believe guard should be the first skill on blitzers, except on stat upgrades.
but on a skill-less blitzer, you might want to take strip ball as a first skill, in case you need it. my personal choice would be gaurd everywhere, tho.

You'd pass up an agility upgrade?

I rolled and recieved a skill no agility,
thanks for the advice Gus, i think i will go for guard, it'll make my cage very scary,
i'm thinking if i get doubles on him i'll get stand firm

I'd go Guard. Never can have enough Guard.

Yeah, Guard. I'm curious as to whether Gus is saying he'd pass up on extra agility for guard, as it wasn't in his list. If so it would be interesting to hear his motivation.

LoL ok, i mentionned i would take guard on non-doubles or 6+4, i forgot to add agility upgrades... i'll edit my post.
to make matters clear: the only characters i wouldn't take agility upgrades on are BOBs and the BG.

Now i have 2 other blitzers, they just have block now,
should i get them tackle or guard?
I play vs both tough teams and quick dodgy teams

If you have a very good positional game (i.e. you don't need to run too much after your agile opponents because you always manage to force them to dodge a lot to move around), then give guard to both blitzers.
However, if you are not sure about your positional skills, then give tackle to one of the two guys to have a minimum of two blitzers with tackle.
However, if you already have two blitzers with this skill, then I'd say guard to one, and strip ball to the other.

You wouldnt take ag on BOB? ...why? having a potential ST4 passing, catching, dodging, ball carrying threat is awesome.
An orc team in my league got +ag BOB and he developed really quick.

That guy got lucky.
ag 3 without matching movement (i.e. far more than 4!!) or rerolling skills (sure hands, pass, dodge, catch) is not much use.
By the time an ag4 BOB gets his second or third skill, blitzers, throwers or gobbos will have had time to get 4 or 5 of them.

BOBs are not designed to move or carry the ball. you have plenty of players on the team to do that, and to do that better. on Chaos Warriors, the matter is different because they have more movement and a starting AG of 3, but on BOBs or Sauri for exemple, it's wasted. that's only my opinion tho

Play Silli Billi and say Ag is wasted on Saurus. That dude gives people fits.

I am not a great believer on guard for Orc blitzers, not staright away anyway. Linmen can have block/guard. Orc blitzers you should make more aggressive. Tackle definately than guard.

Except of course, lineman don't have strength access. If you want any guard before 180 TR you better take it on your blitzers.
