first skill on blitz-ra: doubles

Post by TuernRedvenom »

Gah, why does Nuffle torment me? I was going to give him sure hands as first skill but I rolled doubles for the skills so now I'm in doubt.
Besides block on 1 mummy the team is completely rookie. I have 2 blitz-ra's, 4 mummies and 5 skellies. 90000 in treasury. It's a short league (10 games) so every skill choice is very important.
SO either I:
1) give the blitz-ra sure hands and buy 3 skellies for foul-o-rama
2) use the doubles for some nifty skill and buy a thro-ra

I'm tempted with option 2 and take dodge to make him a good ball carrier tha's hard to knock down. But maybe sure feet or catch or dauntless or frenzy or even jump up is better.
Other teams are Khemri (played those once already), Skaven, Dwarves (played those once too), necromantics and Orcs.

Dodge or Stand Firm. The latter is probably better on an AG 2 player, but doesn't offer the protection from being a blodger. :D

I would go for stand firm - it does allow dodging into cages and the like - sure - it needs a 6.... but it does happen and it can really mess up the opponent.

Stand Firm for me.
Just played against such a thing, and it prevented my players from reaching the ball, even though I've blocked him 3 times with 2 dices (including a wasted RR).

Stand Firm is always a good choice IMO.

I'm less tempted by dodge on teams without much dodge naturally accessible to them - because your opponent's tacklers will just concentrate on them making it less useful.

It's a short league, so long term devleopment really isn't in your best interest. I'd disregard the doubles, take Sure Hands, and buy the 3 skellies for the foul-O-rama. Your best shot at winning the league is decimating the other teams before the playoffs start.

Make sure you save up for Ramtut in the playoffs...

Funny...

Take surehands. Use him as a ball carrier (dropper) and get the skelles to foul. Get a DP skelle, he will be as much as a target as a throw-ra or blitz-ra.

I'd pick Stand Firm and go with the 3 skellies to foul the living daylights out of your opponents.
