hello all,

we are gonna be starting a new league soon with four teams at about tr200 and four new teams. we are gonna play three friendlys with the new teams so that they can gain some spp's and maybe even skills, but i was wondering if it would be acceptable to allocate say two mvp's and a skill choice for two players from the skills available to them. if this is acceptable what suggestions do any of you have for what we should do. thanks for any replys.

It is perfectly acceptable.
You might also consider giving them some extra cash, say +250K, to start with.

That's a difficult question.

If you use SPPs you cannot give free skills. You could say that these are teams that have just gone professional and that the newly attracted highly qualified coaches have an effect on the development of some players to justify that extra MVPs are given for those friendlies.

Alternative: They are trained by a Star Player, this star player will personally enter the pitch if less than 11 players can enter the pitch. Add the value of the star player to the TR. This is for the first season or untill they reach TR 150, it may slow their development though.

But of course whether this is acceptable depends on what the coaches in the league think. It doesn't depend on anything else.

We had the same problem at a league where I played .
So we made the following.
A new team started at 1.500.000 gp and for 30.000gp the coach could buy a skill from the category the player had normal access.
The spp for this skill was 1 MVP and 1 Pass point and no player was allowed to have more than one skill in this way.
