Where to go with my orcs?

I'm a rookie coach, but my orc team seems to evolve nicely.
After 7 games in our league it is up to TR 156 (4 RRs, 9 FF, Apo.)

But I don't know where to go from where I currently am. I have 4 Black Orcs, 4 Blitzer, 4 Linemen and a Thrower, and I don't feel that I need another player.
For the first star player rolls I gave out block and guard mostly.
What skills should be next?

Get a troll and gobboes and have some fun throwing the guys to pulp ... and score an occasional TD with it. :)

I agree with the thrower. Because I like playing an orc team with goblins I would add at least one to the roster. But this depends on you how you like your team playing.

One Skill I would choose is strip ball when cannot knock them down steel the ball instead.

Good luck with your team development!

i think that you should seriously consider adding some goblins they will bring a lot of new options to the team, at the very least coaches tend to get obsessed with trying to take the dodgey little gits out :D

skill wise im not too sure havent had much experience playing with orcs  but i think anything that causes pain should be a priority.

I would choose mighty blow for the BoB as a next skill(or standfirm if you rolled doubles).
Tackle for a Blitzer will be also useful.

Tackle or Strip Ball is vital on the blitzers.

BOBs want Block and Guard, anything after that is a luxury so Mighty Blow is a good choice.

Line orcs should take Dirty Player 1st.

I'd buy the Troll next and a gobbo so you have the option of the 1 turner. I wouldn't bother using the gobbos otherwise because its probably too late for them to add much to the teams (too many Block/Tackle/Mighty Blow players around for them to live long).

Thanks for the suggestions.
I don't really want a troll. Except for Goblin throwing, the Black Orcs do the same job, only better.
I played against another orc team today, and the troll failed his really stupid roll about 8 times out of 10.
And one thrower is enough for me, or so it seems.

Tackle is very important in our league, because there are many dodgy types of teams, but everytime I want to give a blitzer this skill, I roll doubles...

First of all Trolls ought to fail RS stupid 2-3 times per game, not 8. Don't let extreme examples fool you. With S5 and Mighty Blow they are better at hitting than BOBs. Don't forget Reg and the ability to toss gobbos around - well worth the extra 20k.

You need the 2nd thrower because you need redundancy - what happens when the 1st one gets injured or KO'd or even MNG'd?

My thrower usually stays well behind, because with his AV of 8 I consider him to be the weak spot of my team.
He hasn't been injured yet (I don't have a single lasting injury for my team as of now), but I guess I should invest in a second thrower next, just in case.

And I'm not sure I want a Troll and Gobbos on my team. It does pretty good without them. There are too many rolls involved when you want to throw Gobbos.

At this stage you only want a gobbo for those last turn of the half scores. Even if it only works 1/5 that's better than nothing.

Trolls are really good for soaking up punishment and handling other BGs. You don't want to be out strengthed - and there are plenty of teams that can do that.

I never thought about a Gobbo that way. I'll give it a try.

I have my four Bobs, and one of my Blitzers got +Str. for his last Star Player roll.
I only see Khemri out strength that. What do I miss?

One Blitzer with Strip Ball and 2 with Tackle should give you enough to defend with. I like Mighty Blow for Blitzers as well. Mighty Blow helps getting superiority in numbers, as does a Dirty Player. You might want to think about Catch on a Blitzer if you roll doubles to make him your prime receiver.

I don't really like the Troll-Gobbo combination, but I do try to have both on my team for some desperate last ditch attemps at a TD.

Really Stupid isn' t that bad, just don't let the Troll get isolated or wander about by himself.
