AG 4 Orc Blitzer

Post by sangraal »

So he got to 31 Spps on the weekend -- he has AG4 & Guard already,
just rolled a skill.

Leaning towards Sure Hands as I use him as a ball carrier & sometimes a
safety.......

tempted by Mighty Blow though......

What do you guys think?

Ag4 :o Cool. Really a shame you didn't roll doubles. What that Orc really needs is Catch or Dodge to become a forward receiver.

Since I can only think of Sure Hands as a general skill that's related to Ag, I'd go for SH to make those difficult pick ups. Extra bonus is that the Orc can receive the ball and Sure Hands will protect him for Strip Ball players. I wouldn't go for MB or any other skill. Seems a bit of a waste of that AG 4.

Tackle... so you can dodge away from players tying you up and hunt recievers.

I'm with gken1. That would make him a very annoying player.
God, I hate Orc Blitzers.

I thought you could not blitz or block the ball lose (with strip ball) and pick it up in the same turn, as that would mean taking 2 actions in a single turn.
I am not completely sure though if that is what you mean...

I think your are allowed to pick up the ball. BUT you can neither hand it over nor throw it! So you are a target with the ball.

To use the blitzer as a safty I would go for strip ball. When you want him to turn in an scorer take sure hands. So strip ball does not function any more.
