Amazons for new season and tactics advice needed?

Hi Guys,

i played WE my last season and they done quite well. But it was annoying that i played many 1:1 due to the 2:1 tactic of our basy teams. And with all the guard tackle an other bs around............. Maybe im a bad coach..... I hate cages/boxes :D

Ok my question. I want to start Amazons because of the skills and the flexibility of them. So i want to start with:

4 Blitzers
1Thrower
6 Lineman
3RR
9FF
1Apoc
10K cash
I take no catchers because i want to spread my skill points and not only on the catchers.
Can i take a big guy for Amazons?
So any suggestions to my start up team?

Our league will be a bashy league: With Nurgle, Undead, 2 Orks, Nipponese etc...
Its a long league with about 15-20 games to the Play Offs. And it will be pure LRB 3.0 with Apos.

I want to give the blitzers 2*MB and 2*Guard for first skil. And then Strip Ball for one and the other MB and guard again. Lineman all Block. And then depends on the skill rolls. I Try to get much guard.

How do i play them? More cage building or the passing and running game? I will make a test game in the next few days.

So any advices from experienced Amazons coaches would be nice.

Your aware that 4+1+5=10 and your still one player short?

Thanks,
edited my first post. Now it must be right. It was calculated with 6 Linewomen.

hmmm, my starting team would be (has been, actually) the same than yours, with the following differences: drop the apoth, get a fourth RR, and exchange a linewoman for a catcher.

the catcher will serve two goals:
- a scoring threat for your opponent, to leave some room for you to have the linos score
- it will allow for some cheap SPPs between your thrower and catcher, which will hopefully lead to Sure Hands or Accurate on the Thrower after a couple of games.
