Khemri Tourney Team

Ok need some input from those who've played Khemri at a tourney before. How many mummies do you take? I've played plenty of games with Khemri, but not in a tourney. If I've got 4 mummies, I'll have a slow bashy team with few skellies that I'll need to tie up the other side. So I'm leaning against taking 4 mummies. At least 2 and maybe 3? Thoughts?

Actually that's a really good idea, except that I don't think I've got 16 skellies. Let me check......

Nope, only 13 and 3 would have to be painted very quickly. So I've got to go the Mummy route. :lol:

I would take all 4. You've got a better chance of covering the pitch with them and a better chance of getting those vital casualties.

if i may: if you only want two mummies, play undead :) their wights and ghouls are better BB players than skellies :P

I'm definitely going with Mummies, but I was thinking of going with 3 to have an extra skellie or two. 4 Mummies means maximum carnage, but I seem to get bogged down with them b/c my skellies will get wiped out, letting the other side toss banzai suicide blocks into me, and my luck ain't great, if you catch my drift. :wink:

Take 4 mummies. Keep your skellies close to them, then smack down anything that goes after the skellies with your mummies, that should keep the skellies safe.
Khemri without 4 mummies is like chaos dwarfs without 2 bull centaurs: unthinkable. I am taking a Khemri team to my next tourney too, after bashing up all opposition in recent practice games I have high hopes for them for at least the most violent team award.

never played them - just against.

looks to me the only reason to BE khemri is 4 mummy in the first place. even a little spread at the scrim line and they someone will be in a fighting posititon most games.

In leage I would tell ya not to take 4 mummies, but iat a tourney take em all.

Perhaps like this:

4 Mummies 440.000
9 Skeletons 270.000
4 ReRolls 280.000
1 FF 10.000

2 Reserve Players but no Ball Handling. Many ReRolls.

4 Mummies 440.000
2 Throw Ra 140.000
6 Skeleton 180.000
3 ReRolls 210.000
3 FF 30.000

Only 12 Players One Reroll less, but a free ReRoll everytime on PickUp. Safe of StripBallers, if you can cover the Thro Ras.

I'd take this roster:
4 * mummy
2 * blitzer
5 * skeleton
3 * rr
2 * ff

IMO the blitzers are the best possible ball carriers for khemri, being the fastest and starting with block. You also will absolutely need them on defence too because of their higher movement and block. Throwers are horribly overpriced IMO: +40k for a general skill (you'll never be using the pass skill), no thanks. If you can get skills take sure hands on a blitzer and you're set.
3 rr's are necesary because of lack of sure hands and no block on the mummies.

In my opinion the blitzer are totally overprized. You can do better with your money.

Well if you aren't going to take 16 skellies I guess I would go with this.

4 Mummies
2 ThrowERS
6 Skeleton
3 ReRolls
3 FF

But if you want me to bring some of my skelletons to help you fill out your 16 skellie team I will. :wink:
