Doubles on a Chaos Dwarf

Post by Zyad »

Aftergetting an MVP this game, i rolled doubles for one of my chaos dwarf blockers. This is the first advancement he has gotten, but all the other blockers on my team have guard or mighty blow, (this one has never done anyhting for some reason...)

I was leaning towards stand firm, but considering dodge or leader (i need the re rolls :-? ) having leader would bring me up to 4 re rolls, but i could always just save gold to get more, and in the end, the skill could be wasted, so i was leaning more towards stand firm.

only thing better than 1 standfirm/block dwarf is 4. really mental to have a front LOS with standfirm, add guard as a basic skill and they will not move unless dead.

Chaos dwarf are very good blockers and not much else; chuck in the best LOS skill as and they are best thing on the team.

Stand firm, next skill is guard, unless its a double again and then its dodge.

diving tackle can be good as well, even though dodge + Stand firm is great indeed, for surprise moves :)

Pass :P

Seriously. Rerolls are only 80K during the season and Hobgobs are so cheap it's usually only a few games before you have a full roster and need to start burning through the cash to keep the TR down. Buy rerolls. Don't waste doubles on Leader for this team.

Yeah, my roster is already full, and my TR is 175. i almost have enough gold for a new re roll, so stand firm it is.

and re rolls are 100k, not 80 for chaos dwarves

Yep, you're right. That's what I get for going from memory. The effect is the same, you may just have to wait an extra game to buy them. :D

I think the consensus is that Stand Firm is a good idea.

I personally think that Leader is a good trait to get as well, but only if you have a Big Guy on the team. Leader is only there to prevent the oh-God-my-big-guy-rolled-double-skulls-situation.
