Nurgle's.....the here and now...

I have pretty solid team built of Nurgles...TR 148 with 30k in the stash, a FF 9 ans 3 RR..here's the squad:
3 Beastmen w/out skills
Beast of Nurgle w/out skills
4 Beastmen w/Block
1 Beastman w/Big Hand
1 Beastman w/Claw
1 Rotter w/no skills
1 Rotter w/Stand Firm
1 Rotter w/RSC
If all goes well next game or two the beastmen w/out skills and the Beast of Nurgle will be ready for skills...
I am REALLY not sure where to go from here. I play in the REBBL Challenge League using straight LRB 3.0 rules. There are over 200 teams so I will most likely be playing every race.
I have started to build a couple of CAS producers and am currently working toward a couple of ball carriers possibly. I don't want the one w/Big Hand to become a SPP machine and therefore be a target...
Where do you guys think some of my skill progressions should go to?

A sure hand beastman for start.
Then block and guard and tackle if you play a lot of elves.
Some mighty blow would also be nice.

Yep,
One beastman should at least have sure hands.
And I prefer claws instead of RSC because it's more important for me to break the armour and at least stunned the player.
If you want to hurt opposing players then give another Beastman Dirty player.

Hey, I gotta ask: How many games has the team played? It has a TR of 148, but still the Beast doesn't even have Block? Has it been just unlucky, has it missed games or what?
On another note, can you roll the skill rolls for me please? 5 skill rolls and 4 doubles

. Pass that luck around why don'tcha.

He doesnt need Sure Hand he already has BIG HAND
You are able to hurt at the Moment, but you need some more "normal" skills. Chaos needs KICK a lot, also Dirty Player to kick some more asses and lust but not least you need to Stop some running with Tackle or Strip-Ball thats becoming more and more important from TR 150+ with 2 many Block/Dodgers on the field.

Allthough big hand is wonderful, nurgle suffers from lack of apo.
Therefore it is not if but when the big hand player gets injured.
A second ball handler would be nice as a reserve.

This team has played 6 games and every game the Beast either knocks nobody down or gets fouled right off the rip, gets KO'd and then never gets back in! Very frustrating but I have done ok with out him.
And yeah, the last game I played I had three skill rolls and all doubles.
Thanks for the advice guys. I was thinking dirty player and then mixing in tackle too. I will come back after a couple of games and let you know what the turn out is.

I've never played Nurgle, but surely kick can't be wrong on any team.

But bubb don't expect much from them because they have no apo.
And that is a real disadvantage especially when playing in a long term league...

You need one beastman with Kick, one with Dirty Player and someone with Frenzy to limit the defence possibilities.

not necessarily... even picking the ball up on a 2+, the reroll of sure hands improves things a lot. I cannot count the times i have failed 2+ rolls that would score TDs or win games. Remember that 2+ is never a guarantee. And sure hands protects against strip ball, which is helpful too.

Well one time a 2+ is better then 2 times 3+ but I dont want to say its for nothing, if he is out etc. thats a problem, but at the moment he has a lot of other skills to think about then a second Pick-the-Ball-up-Beastman

2 times 3+ fails in 1/9
1 time 2+ fails in 1/6
2 times 3+ is better than 1 time 2+

...unless you have TRR available or want to pick up a ball with tackle zones on it...

Nope my statement still stands.
2 times 3+ is still better than 1 time 2+.
But it no longer covers the example.
