Hi all,

I got an orc team on fumbbl faction 2. http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team& ... _id=116954

i got a troll pro,block NI
4 bobs 1 block, 1 sf, 2 unskilled
4 blitzers 1 st4, tackle, 1 guard, 1 guard, tackle NI, 1 unskilled
1 thrower with block
1 lino unskilled
4 gobos 1 ag4, sure feet, 1 mv7, 1 catch and 1 diving tackle
ff7, 4 rr.

i'm not sure how to develop them, a bob died recently and got replaced, the troll and one blitzer aged on 2nd skill  .

due to the low ff cash flow is not good and i'm not sure if i should replace the nigglers. almost all other teams in the group are a lot stronger than mine, so i think i keep the nigglers.

please give my some advice for further development.

thx
Markus

retire the troll and blitzer, either before the next game or after it, as you already got a guy out.
then replaace blitzer , buy troll and continue as normal.

bah. cut the niggle blitzer and replace him ASAP.

You can live with the niggled troll...he's got good skills and is reliable.

One niggle on a team can be lived with.

My two cents is to fill up your roster first, then worry about the niggled players. Better to have a full roster than worry about the chance that one of them might not play due to injury. Only a 1-in-6 chance remember.

wrong... you rarely need a full roster. for most teams, 14 players should be a maximum. and a niggler is a 1-in-6 chances that your TR will be inflated for nothing. when they have no SPP, and you have the money, fire nigglers and get fresh blood.

Could not have said it better myself!

Is it all, (TR) that you worry about! I beg to disagree personally. The are pleanty of times where having the higher TR does have its advantage. I personally have taken some serious beatings from Khemris and casualty happy Chaos teams before. Sure I won, but when a dwarf team takes 8 Cas in a single game, I was more than happy to have those niggled LongBeard with no SPPs on my LOS, as opposed to having to place a more valuable TrollSlayer or Blitzer or Runner in his place. So take it for what it is worth.

Gus You SOOOOOOO know i am gonna disagree with this.......
Those two extra sots are two extra foulers ;).....Great stuff for an orc team..Line man with dp...50k player takes out 80k er..who cares if its sent off. :P

yeah, but those of us who don't foul like there is no tomorrow usually have enough meat to foul a couple of times and still don't have an inflated TR ;)

oh, and btw Zy, most of the time you foul with zombies or skellies, so that doesn't really inflate your TR :D

I'd agree with this for Markus' current dilemma. The niggled blitzer should be dropped, especially as you've already got another one with tackle. Replace him when you've got the cash.

The Troll can wait until you've saved up enough to replace him. Odds are your new troll will probably age and get a niggle on his first skill roll though

i ditched the niggled blitzer after another game, and bought a replacement one. unfortunatly the troll didn't show up for the next game because of the NI :x . i lost both games (one to skaven with ag6/ag5 gr/ one to a chaos with very good cw, str5 lots of guards and mv 7/surehand goats). Apart from some bad decisions on my side and some key-players out for the first/ tr/ts 40 points down in the second game, i thought my team lacked most a kicker and a dirty player.

I started with Doubleskulls starting line-up for orcs, (i like the feel of it in the beginning) i just have one lino, who is on the defensiv line and doesn't get playing time on offense i don't know if i shall "waste" a blitzer-skill for kick or dp. Usually i setup first 4 bobs, 4blitzers, troll (if available) gobo ag4 (offense or defense) or dt (just defense) and lino (defense) or thrower (offense). If nescessary i use more gobos when time is running out just on offense. I like the gobos and don't want to ditch them (dt/ag4, won me some games), but they inflate the tr and prevent me from getting a kicker or expendable dp. fouling with gobos is not that successfull.

So shall i give the last blitzer kick and anotherone dp?

Personally kick and dirty player are skills I only give to linemen (DP for goblins on doubles). They're useful skills but I think they're wasted on an orc blitzer. I like my orc blitzers with mighty blow and guard, which the linemen can only get on doubles, and ofcourse tackle :)

What begbie said. Also, I feel like 4 gobbos and just 1 lino (from the first post) isn't really tough enough for defensive purposes. Then again, my friend kicked my CWs ass a week ago. The Git rolled double 6 for AV followed by another double 6 for injury. Scratch 1 CW. Did the same for another CW and then double 11s for Lord Borak (this was a one-off game) :( . So much for the AV 9.
