Skaven help... again

After my last skaven team got mauled by dwarves, i retired them. Now, after over two months of almost exclusively playing elves, I started a new skaven team, and it seems i have forgotten how to win with them.

My roster is as follows (first time in 4 games I have had 11 players... that might help)

1 Rat Ogre -- Claw
1 Storm vermin -- Block, +AG, Tackle
1 Storm vermin -- Block
1 Gutter Runner -- Blodge
1 Gutter Runner -- Dodge
1 Thrower -- Pass, Sure Hands
1 Linerat -- kick
1 linerat -- block
3 linerats -- no skills

2 RR
FF 11
Apothecary (who failed to heal my dead gutter runner :( )

So far, after 4 games, I have lost 2 gutter runners, and have usaully been forced to field 10 or less players. finally for this game i have 11 players, but am still not sure why i cannot seem to score anymore with these guys... I think i am playing too much of the elf game i have gotten myself used to, being able to throw a long bomb on a 3+, make a catch in three tackle zones, dodge out and still score. With mostly ag3, that sbviously doesnt work.

Should i form more of a cage, until my gutter runners are within scoring range? Should i even be passing at all? Should i make a cage for my thrower a few squares behind the line of scrimmage, and send my gutter runners out for a pass next turn?

My rat ogre, even with claw, has about the killing power of a halfling, and spends half the game standing still and roaring in rage, and will not roll pow if his life depended on it, so really relying on him is not a good strategy for me either.

thanks for your help!

What opponents are you playing?
Basically you have 3 potential receivers (2 GR's + SV with +1 ag) and an ok Thrower.
I would do the basics, blitz a hole with the RO run those guys through (not too far tough, 7-9 squares from EZ will do), have the linerats mark potential threats to your receivers and guard the thrower. Next turn probably the SV will get blitzed, then just try to blitz a receiver free, pass the ball and score.
You need more GR's tough. ;)

Well, i would have more gutter runners, but two have died already. I have 70k in treasury, so after the next game i can buy one.

I have played against a chaos team, a wood elf team, and a high elf team, and an elf teaml, but this is on fumbbl, so there is no telling who i will play next... could be anything...

EDIT: I just finished a game against another skaven team and won 5-1. I recorded six casualties, and suffered three, all BH. After the game i bought my third gutter runner. unfortunately, one of my other gutter runners aged on his first skill roll and got a niggle, so he will be retired as soon as i can afford a fourth one. I now have another line elf with block, and my thrower has accurrate. Two of my gutter runners are blodgers now (although one has that nasty niggle) plus the new one.
