Just tossing it out there

I got tempted to fiddle around with the Team Creator to see what sort of insanely stupid teams I could come up with. Here's something:

1x Troll (100K)
12x Hobgoblin (480K)
APO (50K)
4 RR (280K, since it's the CD team roster)
9 FF (90K)

= 1000K

The Troll just seems to fit in with how Hobbos are described in "Did you Know" sections. Hobbos have same stat line as Norse, Amazon and Thralls, so they do get hurt a lot. But with 12 and an APO, there'd be backups available. Only problem is development, as the CD roster only allows 12 Hobbos. Could keep freebooting Thrud unless there are a lot of Hobbos to replace (possible); Ripper Bolgrot would be more appropriate, but CDs can't have him.

Any thoughts on how it might do, in PBEM leagues

Hehe, might happen indeed. Though it has to be said, I played a mock game against a Chaos team (2CWs 9Beasties), and Hobbos pulled out a 2-0 win. Sure Chaos had awful AV rolls when they got the hobbos down, but still. A couple of BHs I wouldn't mind, 3+ SIs (or worse) would start to get alarming.

Having said that, my Skaven team in PBEMBBL is in their 5th game (in the second half) and currently have a CAS line of 17-15 (including 2 games against dwarves)

! Can't see why a Hobbo team couldn't conjure up similar luck

That latter team takes me back to when Halflings would be without their Treemen, if both happened to 'Take Root' for the first half

. But Skinks have a MV8 and AV7 to 'Flings 5 and 6 respectively.

As for the cd team: If you're going to be suicidal anyway, try to match this guy:

12x Longbeards (840 k)
3x RR (150 k)
1x FF (10 k)

I donâ€™t have the team roster in front of me, so Iâ€™m not sure if the math is correct.

dwarves RR are 40k...

and you only need 11 LB in the beginning, with maybe an apoth if you want to play safe.

020 2 FF
160 4 RR
770 11 LB
050 1 apoth

or 7 FF without apoth (best for anything longer than 6 matches or so)

first round of our league the zons went up against the dwarves.... both coaches were newbies, and the dwarf coach completely forgot his guys had tackle until AFTER the game

boy was he mad

lost the game, too

I was thinking of 2 Flesh Golems and the rest Zombies for a new Necro team, just to be a freak. I bet it would'nt be all that bad either with 8 Rerolls

, that would friggin' hilarious!!!

Although, a quick math shows that:

2x FG 240K
9x Zombie 270K
6 RR 420K
7FF

So not quite 8RRs for a rookie team, but holy crap

!
