Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has had any sucess with Nurgle teams in tourneyments? I am fairly new and played 1 season with an orc team (momma said knock you out) i finished 16th out of 10 players i believe. Well my local store is planning a tourneyment and i wanted to try something new. I was eyeing a Vampire team but I did not like the Variety. So i thought about a Nurgle team. So here is my first attempt:

1 Beast
2 Warriors
2 Pestigors
7 Rotters

2 RR

and what ever left for FF. Now i know the beast is a staple, i like the warriors for strength the pestigors can somewhat handel the ball. and the rotters fill out. So do you think its stable? I really have no clue since i've never played against or with Rotters. Thank you.

When you say a tournament, do you mean a set number of rounds with a result inbetween, or do you mean a season ending up with a play-off?

I think he means a normal league.

I like the 1 beast, 10 beastmen setup then all the money goes on rotters and RRs.

Or if the Beast kills he will get a Rotter for free.

So if you start with the Beast from the beginning I would not take more than two Rotters (if it is for a league).

It would be a set number of rounds. Sorry for not mentioning.

I think he means the Vault Rotters team

Qty Position Cost MA ST AG AV Skill Access Skills
0-12 Rotters 40K 5 3 3 8 G, M Decay
0-4 Pestigors 80K 6 3 3 8 G, S, M Horns, Regenerate
0-4 Nurgle Warrior 110K 4 4 2 9 G, S, M Foul Appearance, Regenerate
0-1 Beast of Nurgle 140K 4 5 1 9 S, M Foul Appearance, Loner, Mighty Blow, No Hands, Regenerate, Tentacles

Special Rules

Gain new Rotter for every opposing player killed by a block or foul and is ST 4 or less and doesn’t have regenerate or stunty.

Decay: Roll twice on injury chart when this player is injured and apply both results (miss next games do not stack)

As for what to take, I will make a stab in the dark

3 RR 210K
1 Beast of Nurgle (140K)
2 Nurgle warriors (220K)
2 Pestigors (160K)
6 Rotters (240K)
3 FF (30K)

That sounds just about right as a vault team. Fairly strong from the beginning and you might consider losing both warriors for pestigors and drop FF by 1 to up the rerolls 1.

Why would anyone do that? Those pestigors costs 80K a piece, but aren't even worth the 60K they cost in LRB.

Max out on cheap Rotters and rerolls. I'd go for something like

8x Rotters - 320
2x Warriors - 220
1x Beast - 140
4x FF - 40
4x RR - 280

Beastmen with regenerate equals longevity on playmakers that the rotters have not seen before.

I think regen is very well worth an extra 20k on the playmakers.
