2nd Skill for HE Thrower
I've got a Phoneix Warrior with accurate. What should I give him as a 2nd skill? Assuming I just get a normal skill, because a double is Strong Arm.
I'm trying to use him as a deep, long range thrower on offence and like a normal line elf on defence.
I was thinking of:
Dump Off - in case he gets hit, but I'm playing a very loose cage
Sure Feet - to help reduce range bands
Dodge - in case he gets hit or to escape from danger. Also to improve manuverability.
Safe Throw - everyone else is playing power teams so not too much danger of interceptions

Repeat after me: SURE HANDS, SURE HANDS, SURE HANDS, SURE HANDS.
Nothing is so irritating as botched ball pick up rolls at the start of a drive, especially if you're playing against Woodies or Rats.

Its not that likely that I'll even face much passing, the league is me, Dark elvesvoyagers_uk wrote:it puts the ball straight away into the hands of the person most likely to distribute it with ease and a reroll.

I'm a fan of Pass Block, especially on my Lion Warriors, but in this league I don't think there is much point.
I might see the point on a thrower, but then you'd not really be looking for intercepts, more getting TZ's on catchers. In that case you want tackle, diving tackle, shadowing etc.

Maybe Dirty Player, or Diving Tackle...
Or maybe you can choose to give him -1 AG
Or just sack him entirely!
(bloody elves)
Seriously though, My call would be sure hands. Assuming you get him Strong Arm|Safe Throw|Nerves of Steel at some stage he'd be incredibly useful on defence for recovering the loose ball. Sure Hands would also give you some of the functionality you're looking for from Dump Off in as much as it prevents Strip Ball.
Despite the fact you usually use Line-elves as fullbacks, you don't always have to use your Thrower when the ball is kicked to you. They are very useful on defence as well.
