Treeman gained strength update...

Post by dendron »

Very funny:

I just read every thread and people are always telling never not to take the strenght update (awful english?). We are playing with the rules of the LRB 4.0 and rolled a double 6. I was tempted to take the block skill because it was a double but then I remembered all the threads and got a treeman with ST7. 8)
In the next game I was quite confident to make some Cas because I would have 3 Block dice against each normal player and then I rolled the dices.... I rolled 2 skulls and a block symbol the Player had block and so my tree goes down. This happen twice more in the game. So in the next time I would choose block for the tree.

For the 2nd double 6 I would take the block.

But a St7 guy on the field is very good

Yep, if ever you were not going to take a ST upgrade it would be on a Treeman. This might extend to all big guys ... though not to the same degree. :)

That was just an unlucky game, next time you will maybe crush the other Team with your 3dice Blocks the whole game ;)

It's just like my last game with my skaven team, I lost, which means that team isn't good, I started a new team.

Alright lets not make fun of him. He is saying the ST7 didn't work in its first try. That is not a good thing to see when you are playing. He has to realize though that its not always going to be that way with failures, and double skulls, it just really sucks. ST7 will be more then proving sooner or later

S7 is much better, you just had a bad day - also remember 3/4 of his job is sucking up opponents. S7 means opposing big guys have a much harder time taking him down.

Well, we were actually laughing at him, but not in anyway that was meant to be mean. Never meant to hurt anyone.

yup, apologies if that's how it was perceived, that was really not the intent here. it was just a kind of "demonstration through absurdity" or whatever the name is in english ^^ just cause something once didn't work doesn't mean it never works, or sucks, or whatever.

I would take the STR as well. Its cool to have a ST 7 treemen and it happens so rarely. Is he part of a wood elf or Halfling team.

I fully agree with what Doubleskulls says. His job is to distract and absorb damage. It would even be cooler fighting it. I'd love to be able to say I killed a ST 7 treeman :)

I know you guys were just playing around, and you were just showing something. I just didn't want to see a trend start from you two's posts. Like everyone say something meaner and meaner.

But yea I know you two guys are generally nice and just didn't want to see your harmless jokes go to far, or be taken wrong.
