3rd skill on a blodge werewolf

Hmmm, I would probably best be described as a total Bloodbowl Newbie, and have been playing for a little while now in a league in Sydney.
Almost acidentally, I chose to play with Necros and have been enjoying them immensely. But now, my wolves are getting their third skills (well, one has it and the other is two SPP away) and I am trying to decide what to give them.
Any thoughts? Currently they both have blodge, as I wanted to make them as hard to kill as possible.
If it makes a difference (and I imagine it probably does), we are playing the experimental PBBL rules 1.8. I have pretty much zero experience with anything else, so it all seems normal to me

In LRB format I give them blodge then sidestep. They like staying alive it is a good thing that happens. Living, ah living we all like to live. Especially werewolves they are very valueable and die easily. We definatlly dont want them to die. I definatly go with sidestep.

Hmmm... I hadn't considered side step, that sounds like a good choice. No more worrying about being surfed after I frenzy someone off the pitch.

With blodge they have gained most of their selfpreservation skills, so I would focus on how they can assist the team in getting their SPP. Otherwise your wolves would take them all. With every SPP they gain your wolves become bigger targets and a bigger burden to your TR. You need to develop the rest of your team to support them if you want to help your wolves survive. So the best means of keeping your wolves alive is to develop your zombies and Golems (ghouls can help themselves usually) get your wolves to make room for your zombies to try and handle the ball without too much risk of loosing it. Make them a potent threat for anyone trying to get near your rookie zombies. This could mean shadowing/tackle. Sure hands to hold on to the ball while the zombie figures out how to handle it without his hands coming off...

How about tackle or strip ball o make them a real nightmare in defence?

Strip ball is a skill for wights IMO (what else are they going to take). Tackle is an interesting skill. But I'd take side step, makes it safer to frenzy people off the pitch.

Hmm, Tuern is right, for protection of the wolf Side Step would be better, but think of this. Would you blitz or block an opponent that would position your player at the side line?
If you have the tactical capabilties to prevent this, tackle is the way to go. It will get your opponents down more easy.

Tackle or Mighty Blow.

Side Step (annoying as hell in every situation and you can run down the sidelines) or
Sure Feet (that makes him really fast now) or
or Sure Hands (to negate Strip Ball, w. Blodge he will now be the premier runner of your team)
P.S. for mighty blow he needs a double.

I am leaning towards side step, although I may decide to give one of them strip ball.
And I would love to give them Mighty Blow because it would be a lovely combo to go with claws, but I've not had much luck rolling doubles (or stat increases) so far

There is a definite possibility it will end up crowd pushed without sidestep in our league. In fact I think I've pushed one or both of em in both our games thus far.
Mind you, that being said I'd go for tackle personally and start eating Catcher types for breakfast .... mmmm.... catchers.

For an attacking WW I would Prefer Tackle, its great and saves the day against all this dodging bastards out there
Side step is nice, but who is blitzing a player out of bounce and then keep staying at the sideline???, sidestep is perfekt for not going down and next turn you can take a Block against him, but normally I wouldn´t give him a chance to Block/Blitz my WW, so I would first always go with Tackle (Jump up or Mighty Blow on Double)

Sidestep is really good when you are just being hit too - you can get into the best position for the return block.
In this league Tackle would be worth having - the other thing to consider is spring back - so that you can block from being prone. Quite handy IMO. (He's in my league - I know he's playing PBBL

I play a version of the vault rules as well, and I play against werewolves. I hate werewolves. Make sure you do your best to protect them, as they are the only good thing (and very good they are) on the Necro team
Regular skill
sidestep or sure feet. Leave tackle and strip ball for the wights. With no str access on wights, there is little else to take.
Doubles
Mighty blow. Don't even think about anything else (unless double 6). You will shred teams. You are better than a chainsaw... Until V1.9 that is
10 roll
Take +AV. No brainer. If you roll double 5's, then its a tough choice, +AV or Mighty Blow.
+AG or ST
Again a no brainer. Take them!
