Advice for an amigo

A friend of mine is playing a Necro team in our local five-man league. He just lost his second WW in his third season game. I (cough) fouled it to death last night.
There were bonus SP allocated to "jump-start" the season, so this is his current setup:
FG with Block and +MA
FG with Block
Wight
Wight
5 regular zombies
1 zombie with Guard
2 RR
6 FF
50K in bank
He's got a TR of 93. The other four players in the league are hovering around 120... reasonably developed Skaven, High Elf, Wood Elf and Ogre teams.
We'll let him "reboot" the team, but without the 20 bonus SP coaches got at the beginning of the season. That's the penalty.
I'm wondering if it would be worth it. He's only at 50K, so it would take more whumping before he got another werewolf, and at his current rate he might lose a Wight or at least another couple of zombies before he gets that kind of money. He plays the ogres next -- very good coach who has blessed luck on bonehead rolls, 3 multi-block Ogres, and a talent for pain. :-O.
If he "reboots," he gets a standard lineup with unskilled WWs and FGs. He would want to play Necro again. He loves the team, just hates the luck he's been having with his WWs.
If he sticks, he keeps the skills on his FGs, which are notoriously hard to skill up.
What do all y'all think?
