I got an Ag 5 DE-Blitzer, i want to develop as cagebreaker. I don't know which order to skill him, he shall get dodge, leap, strip ball, but what first?

The team has got:
1 rookie Witch
1 ag 5 Blitzer
1 ma 8 dodge Blitzer
1 dodge Blitzer
1 sure hands Thrower
2 ag 5 linos
1 dp lino
1 guard lino
4 rookie linos (1 mng)
2 rr, 11 ff, 70 k cash, apo, TR 157/ TS 160 (on fumbbl)
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team& ... _id=184337

I desperatly need a kicker, tackler and blockers, but the stat-increases were too tempting. Next buy should be a rr. Next lino-skill kick. What do you think?

Thx for the help.

Leap would be my choice since it would make the most of the +Ag. Maybe Strip Ball, since it sure comes in handy. Dodge seems like a bit of a waste at this point. Plenty of Dodge already and Ag5 plus leap does the same thing usually.

I'd get strip ball, as he can still get into cages by dodging. (4+ into 3 tackle zones, if you have a re roll that is 75% success). Then get leap to make it easier to get into cages. Alternatively get dodge, to help him go through opposition lines and help him survive.

Dodge is definately not a waste. It helps you take full advantage of your AG increase. First of all, you want your Blitzer to get out of the cage in one piece and his original shape. That means dodging through tackle zones. Even though dodging through one TZ is a 2+ roll, you will very probably still want to dodge out of that TZ as well. That means you'll be making far more dodge rolls with this bloke than with an ordinary player. Strip Ball is a nice skill, but it doesn't help keeping him alive.

I wouldn't use hime as a cage breaker by the way. I'd use an AG4 blitzer for that, then dodge in with this guy to retreive the ball from enemy tackle zones and dodge away. So I would go with either Dodge, Leap, Sure Hands. Or Leap, Dodge, Strip Ball if you really want to use him as a cage breaker.

On fumbbl team development is all about the long term. For an Ag5 Blitzer I would make him a blodger first so increasing his chances of survival.

After that leap and strip ball.

give the lino movement. More Ma increases on a dark elf team the better.

cant say i found a ma +1 lino very good. even with dodge and block he was still just a lineman as far as I was concerned.

Dont know what DE need, but as a defensive ag4 side i think strength and solid base skills are the way forward. But im rubbish with dark elf as they are too slow, so maybe thats the above point that they are weak on MA. 2 ag5 linos is more than enough, sure id just go for a few block

the problem with taking the ma+ on this guy is that he now has 2 advances and still no actual skills.

i have to think that dodge or leap would be more valuable than ma7.

DE need speed.

Take +MA where you can get it on a non-double. IMO DE have the best defense of all elves and lack more on offense, because they don`t have ultra-fast reciever.

With the blitzer I would have gone leap/stripball, as you have an easier time busting cages - which is what you want.

Despite what I said above, I wouldn`t take +MA on an AG5 lino. Passblock/block/dodge/catch is what you need on him to shut down opposing passing games.

I think Id take the MA since it allows you to make use of the AG for pick ups and things but I haven't played Delfs in a long while.

Take the +MA. It's worth it.
