Double on Orc Kicker

Post by PeterLustig »

My Kicker Orc line men has already block and Kick , now he rolled a double. any advices (other than the standard guard) what to take with him?
the others linemens have block tackle.

If it wern't a double I`d have taken tackle ( he is in teh center any all those skinny elfes dodge around him

Lots of good choices.

I might go for Mighty Blow to deal out a little punishment to catchers who get behind you. -Of course you don't tackle yet... and you'll likely prefer to blitz with blitzers.

Catch isn't great if he's one sided player which (kick implies he is)

Sidestep is an interesting skill for a defensive player. He could move to the sidelines after kicking - or just be annoying to mark receivers with. (again woiuld like tackle)

Dodge would make him harder to take down, and there-fore more of a defensive stopper. It might draw attention of tacklers away from your goblins?

Which leaves :
Guard so he could move over and tie up mutliple opponents but still provide an assist.

The team will have loads of Guard anyway as your Blitzers and BoBs develop. I'd go for Dodge to give you a reliable blodge roadblock in the middle, or perhaps Side Step, which is always a good pick. :)

Diving Tackle? Then give him Tackle as next skill and you have a player who can tie down recievers.

I'll take DT as well.

As Kicker you are going to leave him on the backfield, so in your turn you can put him beside to a catcher and then blitz another one.

Id pick guard as as third skilled line orc. if IF he enters the pitch on defense he may as well be of use. In fact guards great as the rest of your team will be better so he can probably be a real pain.

So far, I like the diving tackle suggestion best. Mark one receiver, blitz another.

i think the leader option deserves some thought, maybe make him the player with skills that help everyone?

though dull, guard would make him a good supporting player behind the line of scrimmage, to throw in an assist where needed after the kick off

diving tackle sounds most interesting in its surprise factor...
