Game 1 vs necromancer team.
I went with the team with no cheerleaders, full team of 16.
He had:
werewolf
ghoul
2 wights
2 fleshgolems
zombies fills out the rest for 11 men
Result? Final score 3 to 1, victory for the halflings.
The highlights:
I recieved first, bad kick resulted inthe ball going off board, given to a hlafling next to a treeman, throw team mate, score, turn one. My opponent had a small shock at this.
His next couple of turns resulted in knocking down and fouling(and knocking out a treeman. His player got thrown out. He eventually scores halfway throught the half. tie score.
My turns result in a missplay, forget to hand off, which made throwing a teammate difficult in the next turn. I eventually do throw'em down field and score. 2 to 1
Second half.
Again, with no rerolls, he botches picking up the ball. Throw halfling next to it, land, fail to pick up the ball. His next player runs down the pick up the ball, fails. Anotehr halfling thrown, he finally picks up the ball, scores.
later second half
He drives down field later, and feeling good, I run with a 2 dice he chooses block on his werewolf. 2 block scores come up, knock him down. Now the ball is sitting inbetween 3 of his players, and 3 of mine. He does eventually pick up the ball. runs, goes for it for one square to the end zone, rolls a one, fumbles. I pick up the ball, run bacl, throw to a teammate on the line, ghoul intercepts it. Ghoul runs back, 2 squads for a short pass(who is one square from the end zone), fumbles the ball. Game over.
I had pretty good luck, my opponent didnt quite have bad, but things never went his way. To add insult to injury, post game gate gave me 100k, and him 40k, and my fan factor went up(to 10) his went down.....
One halfling got a skill, diving tackle.
On the bright side, he could have been playing in the skaven vs norse game behind us, which resulted in 4 in the dead and injured box each, with at least 2 casualties......
he came out ok. Not as good as he liked, his ghoul gained block.

Can I lend your dices? I play flings a lot. I do not have the luck that three flings land in one game. The maximum were two in match.
Congrats! Good win. But it will be difficulter if you face some players with tackle.

Oh yeah. The dwarf team has issued a challenge for next week....
I was thinking of spending the money on some cheerleaders, maybe 4, and then hording the rest for now, to spend 40k on ingredients and save 20k in the bank till later.

I rarely even try to score TTM-TDs with halflings, and when I do they surely fail. It's just that 50-50 throw with no reroll that makes it not worthwhile. Obviously you got extremely lucky last game. Don't expect it to happen again.
I'd go with the block-with-treemen-gangfoul-cageup-and TD slowly route.

Game #2 sv Dwarves.
In a stunning turn of events, Halflings upset the dwarves 2 to1 !
Game highlights:
I win kickoff, opening drive for teh first 2 turns see a thrown halfling and a touchdown.
Dwarves recieve, and over the next 5+ turns drive downfield. Nearing teh endzone, Halflings take a reckless chance, dodging through multiple tacklezones to throw a 2 dice he choices block on the runner. Comes but block and both knockdown, so both the halfling and dwarf fall down.
Dwarves being grumpy, decide to throw a hurt before picking up the ball. Double skulls. Ooops. The blocking halfling gets up, gets the ball, dodges out and in a display of amazing skill, throws the ball up field to another halfling who runs away! At that point the gun goes off and signals the end off the half.
Second half starts off with the dwarves recieveing. They drive down field in a display of slight brutality: 5 in teh knockout, only 3 in the injured box. They score in thier turn 6.
I recieve, and due to a fumble halfling throw, drop teh halfling and ball. Since he set up deep, only one lineman was around to grab the ball and run downfield, visions of glory in his eyes. Which was why he missed the halfling hit squad as several halflings decended to knock him down. Picking up the ball, and THIS time the treeman gets it right: accurate throw and a quick run in sees the game end.
2-0 so far....now I have a choice of opponents: a weakened norse, skaven, pair of goblins, or 2 orc players and a human team.
Leaning towards either one orc or the human team to play next.
A quick question: do treeman get SPP for making accurate throws of halflings?

Good game again! Did your flings suffer any long term injuries?
Back to your question:
No! You only can SSPs for passing the ball.
I could only repeat my post! I would like to rent your hand that throw your dices!
Keep on to rock your league with your flings!

Forgot to add:
53,000 folks showed up at the gate. I ended up only with 40k winnings(rolled a 1), which replaced the 40k spent on ingredients, so the bank still has 100K.
Injury report: with only 3 in the dead and injured box, only one ended up with a niggling injury, and that one was the same one who had one last week.....so I still only have one injured halfling.....

Game 3 vs goblins
Feeling bad about the goblins rough game vs Norse, I offer him a "easy" game(or as the rest of the league called it, a cripple fight).
Halflings win this one 4 to 1, and the goblins concede in turn 4 of the second half in disgust.
Goblin:
1 troll
15 goblins.
He had 4 rerolls, absolutely no point in putting money into ingredents.
First half:
Goblins win toss, kick off. Short version is: by turn 2, the score is 1 to 1, the rest of the 6 remaining turns see not much happen, until turn 8 where a bad go for it on the by the goblins at the end zone sees a dead goblin.
Second half:
The bad luck continues for the goblins, Seeing halflings score and score and then take advantage of a goblin fumbled pass to throw a halfling, pick up the ball, dodge out, and go for it twice to score.
Goblin player's disgust explodes. He concedes, throwing up his hands at his appalling bad luck and the halflings good luck.
The conceding means I got all the gate, which gave me 110K, added to the bank of 80K, means I have a 190K to burn here.....help me out a bit.
I can retire the double nig halfling and replace him(30K) buy 4 more cheerleaders(40K) and then? Buy another reroll(giving me 4)?

Have cheerleaders at 6 total.
Get a 4th re-roll (don't get a 5th with the team (wasted TR)) ... remember every 2+ with the Chef gives you a re-roll and more importantly remember this is whether or NOT you steal one from your opponent with the 2+.
Retire the double Niggle to an assistant coach ... you want 6 assistant coaches at some point (never buy assistant coaches). After that just retire them.
Save the rest for ingredients. And remember ... its never a waste to reduce your opponents rerolls as you suggested.

true, but I didnt want to spend money when someone had 4 rerolls....

why not? it's not like you would have been forced to spend 60k to remove all his rerolls... and the more RR you can take away, the better. In my opinion. I'm not sure I get why you felt it would be a waste of money.
btw, gratz on currently going 3-0, hope you keep it up

I usually spend one more than the person has in rerolls. SO if my opponent has 2 rerolls, I'll drop 40k to have 3 rolls to gain/steal rerolls. I try to leave them none.(a 1 always comes up in those rolls inevitablely).
With him having 4, I couldnt see spending money, 80k to take them. Perhaps I should have spent 20-40k and taken some.
*shrug* in the end its a 4 to 1 win, with to in the dead and injured box, which everyone lived through without a scratch. So no blood, no foul.
Next up: a human bunny team, who I believe trys to play bashy, and plays passing, any advice? I do have 2 halflings with diving tackle, and a Str 3 halfling for blitzing.... So I do have a decent back field.
REALLY want the next doubles to get kick to set up my master plan.....

Is it a human team or a amazon team? Unfortunately there is no bunny team. I suppose if there were they would have a new triat call glamourous appreance... same effect as foul appearance...
