Team ratings and halfing ingredents

Post by carmachu »

An interesting point came up: pregame, which comes first, comparing TR or spending ingredents? Because money spent lowers the TR, because its no longer there.

So if I have 150k in the bank, making my TR 129, and spend 40k on ingredents, that leaves 110k, but lowers my TR by 4 to 125.

Thoughts?

TR, for purposes of calculating handicaps, determining what your modifier is on the winnings table, etc, is done prior to freebooting/purchasing ingredients. So while spending 40k is going to ultimately lower your TR by 4, you only calculate that fact after the game while recalculating your TR from FF, new treasury total, new SPP's earned which may raise your TR as well, etc. You can't purchase more ingredients just to eliminate a handicap for your opponent... the only way to do that is to purchase an RR before the game begins or fire somebody.

Agreed ... buying ingredients or freebooters does not lower your TR for the current match.

TR is only ever recalculated during the post game phase. Spending money during pre-game has no effect on TR.
